Chapter 11(Smack)

He saw the color change from green to blue but only 4 blue bars had risen and that was that.

"Hey Jin-Buddy that is a good score I have probably practiced longer than you it's fine."

While Yan said that he had a huge grin obviously he was more focused on feeling good about himself.

"Thanks Sensei-Yan, maybe this next one is better."

Jin had put his hand on the next one only to find it was the exact same.

The guards were actually continuously impressed but he was definitely not as exceptional as the previous boy

Finally Jin placed his hand on the mantra stone, and after it had risen passed the second line everyone there was shocked and very invested

"Holy- Oh my Ji-!"

It had gotten to purple and the guards at this point had gotten closer as if their eyes were decieving them

Then it got to yellow, then orange, then red, then black, then grey, and finally white, the final color, everyone had already been more amazed than anything and the guards had even been frozen in place, then the bottom line of the nine lines in the stone had started to shift colors, and the stone broke.

"OOHHH MY HEEEEECK!?"

(Even I know this is crazy what the heck why?)

The guards had taken in the boys to their house which was near the main hall, as all the guards houses were.

"I can't believed I have witnessed the start of someone like you, you have a peerless potential!" The first guard had been amazed and spoke in such an excited manner that spit went into his beard

"How did you do it, I know I shouldn't ask but, what is your mantra! I already have a bound soul and I assure I won't tell! How though?!"

"Jin-Buddy did you really not know of this? You have reached the unreachable stage in mantra level!"

"Uh, I actually don't know the answers to these questions, I have no memory prior to less than a year ago, I had no mantra until an old man had gave me one, and it is just a self sacrifice mantra basically I just gotta be kind and give away my own stuff or whatever."

(Wait, oh snap wait. I was practically made for this! I gave away my life and then KEPT giving! Alright God I understand, I'll be your super-hero protagonist.)

[Realization Met: System Activated]

Jin had been transported into an odd space which was very disorienting, as there was no footing and the color anywhere he looked was the same pinkish orange

Then he heard a voice which spoke softly and gently no way to tell the gender though

"It seems you have some knowledge on a system as you had read a bit in your pasttime as a human"

"Uh, does that mean I'm no-"

"Carry out the tasks given and you will recieve biological and spiritual power, deny tasks and the opposite will occur, when you really want to you will be transported to this place beyond time and physical being. A shop will appear in due time if you continue to do as told."

"So, what's my first mission oh beautiful and great God?"

"Your first mission is to smack the guard of your choosing in the face very hard."

Then Jin was transported back to the exact moment he left at.

(Oh no I'm a bad guy)

"You got this far in a self-sacrifice mantra!?"

The guard shifted his eyes to the scratches on the boys face

*SMACK*

The guard had been hit to the ground

"I-Im sorry, I understand it must have been a tough memory."

(Omg I feel bad but this is kind of funny how serious he is, don't laugh, don't laugh)

The others had looked to Jin and saw his teary eyes

Yan spoke up "Hey guys let's give Jin a moment."

The other guard spoke up gesturing towards the other "Alright. cmon."

Jin transported himself to the other dimension.

"Hello great and beautiful God, I did as you requested."

"Your reward is the energy condensing technique. And your attempts at flattery will have no gain."

[Energy Condensing Technique Power: 1 km]

"Thank you o' powerful being."

"Your next mission will be given at the appropriate time."

Jin had left the dimension and decided to put the technique to use, it was a form of spiritual cultivation and was in his mind when he recieved it as though he was remembering something that happened not too long ago. Immediately he could feel the difference, while normally spiritual cultivation was a peaceful thing which had made time fly by, this was excrutiatingly painful, and it was his spirit as well so the pain was beyond his original comprehension.

After a while Jin had ran out of the main hall clumsily, as not only would being in the wild have more energy, it also offered the freedom to control the strength that seemed to come like nothing.

(I hope Yan doesn't get worried, I'll be sure to bring him back some fruits.)

Jin made his way on top of the side of a mountain and had begun, the pain was even greater but he knew that it would be more than worth it in the long run.

(Oh SHIT)

The energy coming in had increased two-fold

*Somewhere in the distance*

"Look at that, the energy around the mountain is gathering, and from such a great distance!"

"Even more so now! Elder Brother, what do you think it is?"

"Obviously it is a Master of cultivation, if it was a beast the energy would be condensed around the body of the beast, if it was a pill it would be condensed into the herbs and the nature of the energy would change, but instead it is fluctuating soul energy periodically and dissappearing, so the amount that is absorbed is not only absorbed 100%, it is absorbed into his soul."

"Surely he will be no match for you, after all using your knowledge I can see his soul is an angelic one, and you are the master of angelic mantra and at the peak of spiritual, even with power gain like that he cannot compare."

"That is no question, but he has no clue for discretion so he must have great physical cultivation as well, that cultivation must require great focus so he must obviously not care for sneak attacks, let us ignore today lest they come for trouble, come and continue our training."

In just a few days the condensing was at least 5-fold

Jin was transported into the dimension

"Your next mission is to eat the gold-obsidian crystal in a cave, I will show you in your mind where it is."

"Ok great and beautiful God, your wish is my command."

(The cave probably has monsters, and I have to eat rocks. All is fair in love and war, I'll probably get more powerful so it's worth it)
