Chapter 86: Guest
The sun's golden rays of sunlight shining through the window and unto her face woke the sleeping princess up. She was beneath the sheets of the bed, limbs tangled with the King's.
Sebastian's arm was tightly wound around her waist in a firm lock, his head buried in her bosom. His deep, constant breathing told Celestiel he was still very much asleep, his loose bun had come undone and was now sprawled on her arm in a stream of dark fibre, silky and soft.
Celestiel felt a smile play at her lips as she remembered the King's confession from the previous night.
"You are my weakness...and you have come to be the source of my strength,"
The words had left an even deeper mark in her heart than if the king had simply said that he trusted her. He had given her far more than she had desired and the thought filled her heart with an intense emotion.
