7- Where is Kate Bai?

Kate could feel his eyes on me, the way he looked at her as if he was staring right into her soul, she couldn't help but feel self-conscious.

She didn't care what anybody has to say but at that point... what was happening had her having mixed reactions.

Kate Bai was sad that Elena had to runaway on her wedding day and she was also sad that the only way she could marry Julian Wang was by being a substitute bride, but she was pleased that she finally got what she wanted, she was happy that she would finally be with the man of her dream, the man that she has always wanted, the man that she love!

"Kate Bai, do you take Julian Wang as your husband, to be with him and support him during the good and the bad, in sickness and in health, do you agree to be his wife throughout the worst and the good phase of life?" The priest asked her.

She was silent. She wondered why the man would ask her such question. How could he ask her if she would be there for Julian Wang? The only man that she ever wanted?

She'd trade anything to be with him.

When she heard people murmuring, she glanced up to stare at Julian Wang who was glaring at her, coldly.

"Yes, I do." She responded.

"Julian Wang, do you promise to love Kate Bai in sickness and in health in good and the bad, do you promise to love her throughout the days of your life?" The priest asked Julian.

It took him a moment before he could respond to the priest, Kate was scared of what his answer might be but after he uttered the word she became calm again.

"Yes, I do." He responded.

"By the power bestowed on me I pronounce you both husband and wife you can now kiss your bride." The priest said.

Kiss!

He was going to kiss her! why haven't she thought about it before? Jesus Christ! She wasn't ready for it, she just didn't want to mess it up.

Juliy pulled up the veil and placed his palm on her cheek, he stared into her eyes watching me, his face was blank, expressionless. She couldn't tell what he was thinking at the moment.

He bent a little and whispered into her ear.

"You are readable, wife. Learn to hide your feelings." He said and placed his mouth on hers, kissing her gently.

Kate wentnumb.

It was a short kiss, more like a peck on her lips but she couldn't get myself together. She was thrown into a trance that she couldn't pull herself out from.

He was going to be the end of her.

"Don't expect me to care about you, I never will." He whispered into her ear, Kate turned her face and their eyes met, his cold hazel eyes wasn't letting her go but she had to say something, anything.

"Never say never, husband." Kate whispered softly and smiled at him.

The wedding was followed by a reception, the reception took place at a hotel. It was the longest day of her life.

Especially when it was time for her to dance with Julian.

He took her hand in his and she wrapped her hands around his neck then they started dancing.

Ed Sheeran's perfect was playing in the background, the perfect song for the ceremony.

"Why did she ran away?" He questioned her. The question was without context so Kate was confused.

"Who are you talking about?" She asked innocently, her eyes staring at the bridge of his nose.

He stared into her eyes and blinked, she couldn't read his face, he was an expert in hiding emotions.

"Don't play games with me little Kate, why did she ran away?" He asked once again.

Did he just called her little?

Yes, he senior her with about a decade but that doesn't make her little, she was a 27 years old woman who have seen life for what it is.

"I don't know why she ran away, I am not her keeper." She responded calmly. He smirked and nodded his head then bent his head. He was well about 6'3 feet tall, and she was only 5'3. He was right by calling her 'little'.

"Do you enjoy being my wife? Do you enjoy the clout? The attention? I hope so because I'll enjoy having you as my wife." He uttered, sharp and short. She couldn't help but shiver. His voice was cruel, his words weren't sincere.

Kate knew that she was definitely in trouble.

"I would like to have a dance with my daughter." Bai Qing, her father said, showing up beside them from out of nowhere.

She never believe that she could be happy to see her father but at that point she was, she was happy that he would save her from Julian Wang's sight.

"Of course, Bai Qing. I'll just go and talk to my mother." He responded and placed her hand on her father's.

After he left Bai Qing and Kate started dancing.

"Be a good girl and do whatever he asked you to, don't be hardheaded and be respectful, remember who you got married to." Bai Qing said, Kate couldn't stop herself from rolling her eyes.

She cursed the day they became her parents.

Of all the good things he could say to her on her wedding day, Bai Qing decided to belittle her once again.

"Of course father, I will make sure not to disgrace your precious name or embarrass you in public, I know that already." Kate snarled.

"Don't be arrogant now just because you married Julian Wang, remember who you are." Bai Qing whispered harshly.

"I understand." She mumbled. Bai Qing let go of her hand and walked away.

When Kate looked up she saw Tash walking towards her.

Tash might have noticed the look on her face, but no matter how strong she pushed herself to be she knew that she wasn't that person. That isn't Kate Bai.
