Chapter 25: Almost Time

*Time skip to the day before the battle*

We all had been training like crazy this past week and my gut feeling has just been getting worse and worse. I spent every free moment I had either in the shower or at the beach by myself, don't get me wrong I don't mind spending time with the pack at all but I just don't want them to pick up I'm scared for what's about to take place tomorrow.

We were all at Emily's having dinner like usual when Jake walked through the door.

"Hey Jake." Embry greeted.

"Hey guys." Jake smiled and sat at the table.

"So what's up?" Jared questioned.

"Nothing I just came to eat before I head up to the mountain with Bella." Jake explained and started eating his food.

Edward didn't want the red head to find Bella and of course Bella wasn't going to be at the battle so her, Edward and Jake came up with a plan that Jake would run Bella up to the mountain tonight and meet Edward there and they would spend the night there and Edward would take care of Bella while Jake came to fight. I honestly hated that Jake was the one fighting to keep her alive while Edward didn't, but who was I to say anything.

Jake quickly finished his meal and was about to leave.

"Jake at least talk to us a little before you leave after all we are your family." Seth spoke before Jake could leave.

"We can talk and spend all the time we want together after the fight is over but for now Bella is my main priority." Jake walked out the door.

I would have never expected Jake to talk to Seth like that in a million years. I looked at Seth and noticed tears staring to form in his eyes and I was not having it. I got up from my seat and ran outside.

"Jacob." I yelled.

Jake then turned and looked at me with confusion.

"I'm not trying to argue especially with everything that is on line right now but I hope you know Seth is about to start crying because he thinks all you care about is Bella, for god's sake Jacob open your eyes Seth misses you all you do is spend time with Bella, it's hurting him don't you see that." I calmly spoke making sure not to upset myself or anyone else.

"I don't have time for this I need to get to Bella." Jake turned around.

"You know what fine, go and leave. " I spat harsher than I wanted it to come out.

"I'm sorry." Jake spoke not looking at me.

"Not sorry enough." I sighed and walked back inside.

"You didn't kill him did you?" Quil questioned.

"No I didn't kill him." I sat back at my seat and picked at my food.

"What did you say?" Embry asked.

"It doesn't matter anymore." I sighed.

"Well forget him for now you have us and we love you." Paul grabbed my hand.

I just smiled and continued to pick at my food. The rest of the night was pretty quiet. We were all staying at Emily's tonight so we could be together and bond and be there for each other.

We finished dinner and I helped Emily with the dishes and cleaning, then Emily went to bed and we all got our pajamas on. The boys were shirtless as usual with their basketball shorts for bottoms and Leah and I wore sports bras and basketball shorts as well. Everyone was laying down and then I heard the door open and someone walk outside. I got up and went to go check up on whoever it was.

"Hey little man." I smiled and sat down next to Seth.

"Hey." Seth softly spoke.

"What's wrong?" I questioned wrapping my arm around his shoulders.

"Just what Jake said." He spoke with tears forming in his eyes.

"Look don't worry about him he is going to soon realize we are all he has and once Edward and Bella break the news he is going to come running back to us and apologize." I pulled Seth close.

"I hope they break the news soon because I miss Jake." Seth laid his head on my shoulder.

"Edward was nervous today so I think it'll probably be first thing tomorrow Edward is going to say something." I held Seth tight.

"I have to go up to the mountain to re-leave Jake so we will find out." Seth sighed.

"Come on we need our rest and I think you'll get to rip a blood suckers head off tomorrow." I smiled and stood up.

Seth laughed as we stood up and walked back into the house.

"Look their all knocked out." I quietly giggled.

Seth and I laughed quietly to make sure and not wake them up. Seth crawled over to Leah and cuddled with her. I walked over to where Paul was and laid on his chest. Once Paul felt my touch he pulled me close and tight.

My gut feeling was worse than it ever was but maybe it was just my nerves so I let sleep take over me and prepared for the day ahead.
