chapter 2:first day at school

That morning I woke up and got everything ready for school.I wore black stretcher skirt and faded pink crop-top together with my pink sneakers and a black ribbon.

As I went downstairs what I saw made me break down to tears.

My dad was right Infront of me and he had arrived the previous day after I was asleep.I ran and sprang at him giving him the warmest hug on earth.I almost didn't recognize him because he was a bit older now.He left when I was ten year old and six years had passed .

we really had a lot of catching up to do.

He finally took me to school and the long awaited time came.He handed me over to my class teacher."okay, good morning class?" Madam Geralt asked but there was no response.All eyes were on me and I became devastated.

"Today as you can see we have a new student, please introduce yourself,"she said looking at me warmly."Um....My name is Samantha Kings or you can just call me Sam",I said as everyone looked at me as if I had grown another eye on my forehead.

"You may sit back there Mrs Sam,"she told me pointing at a sit at the back of the class.our English lesson began and without even knowing it,the bell rang and the students began walking out as I remained there packing my books.

I went to my locker and unpacked some of my many books.Immediately I closed my locker, a girl who seemed friendly approached me and I noticed she was from my class."Hey there?am Madison,"she said shaking hands with me."am Sam!!nice to meet you,"I told her trying to remove my grip from her.

"you seem new to this place and you're extremely pretty that you've been nicknamed 'killer beauty' watch out gal girls here are not so happy with this,"she told me this and I really had no words because people were passing whispering and smiling at me.

I began thinking this Madison girl might be a nice friend.

"let's go grab some lunch! it's on me,"i told her as I laughed at her impression.we went to a nearby hotel and ate as we began chatting and knowing each other more and more.

Mady told her deskmate to exchange sits with me and which kind of gentleman could resist my charms!!I sat with Mady and we were laughing everytime as we chatted.

suddenly, someone tickled me from behind and I turned with a hot slap right to the person's face."what the fuck!!"I yelled at Bramwel the boy seated behind me.He smiled ,gave me a smirk and began to chuckle as he winked at me.

The class began cheering as I stood up and left."Sam,wait!please!"Mady followed me from behind trying to catch up.she caught up and convinced me to go back to class since the math teacher was almost entering the class.

"Do you know why people are pestering you? it's because first, you're the prettiest in the school and second you are the daughter of the most respected man in Hiddenville,"Mady whispered to me."Mrs Madison, would you care to tell the class what you're saying?"The teacher saw us."sorry ma'am,"Mady replied shyly feeling embarrassed.

The classes ended and my dad came and picked me up. He told me he had a surprise for me and I was eager. As we entered the house, a woman almost my mom's age rushed and hugged my dad and me. I was really caught off-gourd. I had too many questions in my head but fewer answers. I ran upstairs without a word, jumped on my bed, and broke into tears. My dad ran after me, "darling, please I can explain, don't do this and I want us to catch u as a family, please open the door."

"No dad, NEVER, no one is ever gonna take mom's place no matter where I am, "I yelled nervously thinking of another woman being my mom. My daddy sweet-talked me till I ended up opening the door. The woman's name was Abigail. "It's okay dear, it's okay, stop crying. When I came here my heart was into many pieces but when I met this woman everything changed....our... the wedding is even drawing near. Next day I woke up and the sunlight had shone brightly and the birds were chirping. I wore a denim mini-skirt,a white and blue stripped top, a denim sweater and new shoes dad had gotten for me.On going downstairs, dad and Aby were on the table eating. whenever i was close to Aby,it was as if we were repelling and my blood was boiling. "Join us dear,"Aby told me pointing out to the chair beside her as dad looked at me with the-please-eyes. I sat ,ate my breakfast and stood up. "Dad am kinda late can we leave? "I said smiling at my dad. "sure, let's go." "But dad are you going dressed that way? "I said laughing. "Is it not a good outfit? "He said back also laughing back at me.He was still on his pajamas. "okay then let's go, "I said still laughing hard imagining how my schoolmates will laugh.

On opening the door what I saw almost made my eyes pop out and my heart was laughing and thudding really hard in my chest. There was a red convertible just before my eyes. "I've not been in your birthdays ever since I left, so this is my gift for this year's birthday." dad looked at me smiling. I ran and hugged him as tears of joy cascaded down my facade face. I told them bye and just like that , my driver drove me off since I had no ID
