Talking to Claudius was easy, I came to realize, as I stood in the middle of the room facing the twins. Talking to Claudius held no connotation of this kind of betrayal that lingered in their eyes.

With them, I knew there was no way I would be able to make them see my reasoning without explaining each and every minute detail about what I had seen, without giving them information that could–probably would–put them in danger with the mere knowledge of it.
