The Straw Doll

Mylo breathed in before he pulled a cusp of Draco's Malfoy's hair.

It had been quite a while, and the Christmas holidays were coming to a close.

It was the third of December, and what lay in front of mylo was a piece of wood, with a complex magical circle inscribed into it.

This was his masterpiece, his by-product of spending a month using Voodooism.

The magic circle was classed under "Shadow magic" and since the wood that professor sprout gave him seemed to be stronger than normal, 5 uses was the maximum.

A month for a small, complex magic circle may be classed as a waste of time, but this was the entry to voodooism, and more importantly, black magic.

He hadn't got an owl back from Saint Mungo's regarding his grandfather, but he was examining his brother, who seemed to get a lot more mail than him.

Mylo could have sworn he saw his brother holding up a Howler with the Saint Mungo's name escribed into it.

Placing the small hair on the magic circle and injecting mana into it, Mylo hissed the language that was spoken in Voodooism.

"⍜⊑ ☌⍜⎅ ⍜⎎ ⏁⊑⟒ ⋏⟟☌⊑⏁, ☊⎍⍀⌇⟒ ⏁⊑⍜⌇⟒ ⍙⊑⍜ ⌇⊑⟟⎐⟒⍀ ⟟⋏ ⎎⍀⟟☌⊑⏁.." Mylo stumbled in a couple of words, but the magic circle shined in red light, showing that the magical binding was a success.

The steps done did not end there, however.

The red magic circle absorbed the small hair before a crimson blood-like substance swarmed up in the magic circle.

Although this stage could be seen as unnecessary, Mylo wanted to carry around the sigil, so he poured the crimson substance into a bottle.

wiping the bead of sweat on his head, Mylo breathed in before carrying on.

Voodooism was not a well-kept secret from the muggles, as some discover and pry deep into the mystical subject.

Of course, they can't properly grasp the magic, but some geniuses have managed to dissect it down.

One of the aspects they came up with, was the Voodoo Doll, which was spiritually connected to the doll, and the pain the doll would feel would be transferred to the person it was bonded with.

In this case, it was Draco Malfoy.

He never liked the arrogant child, as he always bullied Luna.

He wouldn't be laughing, soon, however.

The crimson liquid was collected from the vial and placed in a long jar with a humanoid figure shaped out of hay and other sorts of objects.

Pouring the liquid into the jar, Mylo watched it marinate.

The book didn't describe how long it would take, so a few hours it was.

A basic Voodoo doll couldn't mitigate damage like advanced, but it could cause the bonded victim phantom pain.

Breathing in, Mylo looked outside of his dorm and into the starry night sky.

His senses were sharpened under the effect of the Unicorn blood, so he heard several sets of footsteps go to hagrid's hut.

It was Rolf, Harry, Hermoine and that ginger boy Ron.

Rolling his eyes, he looked towards the Voodoo doll, which was turning a dyed red.

in pure boredom of waiting, Mylo had a keen interest in another aspect.

"Guide to making Spell."

Mylo could think of several useful spells that he could use if he created them, although it wasn't a simple feat, creating spells.

First, the wand movement. a key aspect of the spell. Thinking and practising different hand movements to synthesize the magic bandwidth of the mana used.

then the spell pronunciation.

It comes from the original language "Latin" which was the language all mage's used.

Ancient mages and magic were far more superior than modern ones, as the original language that scholars scratch their heads on was used in mere idle talk.

Muggle's believe that Latin came from Rome , but that was incorrect , as some scholars argue that the original language came from even before the Akkadian Empire, and even before that.

It was a rabbit hole hard to get out of.

An embarrassment of the Wizarding World was the fact that Muggles understood and deciphered more Latin than them.

In fact, the muggles are the reason why spells are created still to this day.

He had idea's of what spell to create, but it would be a long process, one that took years.

according to rumours, Professor Snape apparently made some spells in the second year.

With the unicorn blood and heightened magical sensitivity, why couldn't he?

------------

Something was strange.

The fact that Albus Dumbledore hasn't Questioned him yet.

why he was there in the first place, no points nor honours for saving Hermoine.

Not that he was complaining, but it felt... odd.

When he tried to use the eyes that sensed sins, he saw that Dumbledore's core was never shown.

What was he scheming?

Seeing that the Straw doll was finally done, Mylo placed his hands in the liquid.

it was a shame, really. he would love to practice Voodooism with his Tatoo on his wrist, but it seemed like it the Troll wasn't enough for the gluttonous thing that outmatched even Nagi's head.

What was really going on behind the scenes?
