House Scamander

A cool summer of July the 9th, in 1980.

two beautiful boys were born, of whom reflected their household looks astoundingly.

the first baby, a boy by the name of Rolf Scamander, who looked like his mother.

his mother...

screams of agony filled the hospital room as a man overlooking the two baby boy's was flailing his arms around in a hysteric manner, his eyes full of despair and anger.

He was a fine gentleman, to say the least. his suit was neat and tidy but was put to a dissaray by the angry swarm of tears that subtly followed his screams of agony.

the young boy named Rolf Scamander inherited his grandfather's dark scraggy brown hair, but his mother's deep blue eyes swayed like the ocean. one look at the boy and the mother in the bed, who's armed slumped to the side, could easily connect the dots together.

*Slap*

A crisp sound filled the hospital room, as the man couldn't bear it any longer. the head midwife had a large slap mark on her cheek

"You said that she would be fine and that her illness wouldn't affect her birth! you lied to me!" the man got on his knees, almost like he was praying to a god to return her soul to her body.

but no good sought his call.

the young boy, Named Rolf, quickly kept crying under the constant pinches of the midwives that attended to the baby.

or should I say, babies?

a baby was on the other side of the infant rolf, one whose eyes were quickly slipping from the world's grasp.

The midwives were thrown in a state of panic seeing this, as they rapidly grabbed their wands and chanted.

"Anapneo, Anapneo , Anapneo"

their wands danced to the rhythm of the screaming man in the background as the sickly boy that lay on the left side of his elder brother.

how ever, each spell made the boy only sicker, opposing the effects of the spell made for him.

they had to use muggle technology and techniques to stabilize his condition.

it worked, at least.

a cry of relief came from the nurses, who looked towards the slumped woman on the bed, who was already being cloaked in a white sheet

will their pay be docked for this?

a hiss came from each one, as they promptly ignored the crying man.

they all left the room, except for the head midwife.

The man seemed to gain some of his sanity, as he promptly looked at the head.

"Why, why did she die?" his eyes showed eternal anger which was only amplified from the blood-red eyes that were the result of the crying

"Sir, you know her condition-"

"YOU SAID YOU LEARNED FROM THEM FUCKING MUGGLES! THE BEST WAY'S TO GIVE BIRTH WITHOUT MAGIC? AND YOU FAILED!"

"It wasn't our fault." The head midwife bowed her head in shame. "We weren't expecting a second twi-"

"You weren't expecting.. a second one?" The man grew calmer and calmer although his whole fancy attire was ruined.

"Yes. the second baby seemed to.... absorb her fragile life. if it was just the one, she would of being fin-"

The man stormed up to the second baby, his eyes full of anger.

"YOU DID THIS TO HER!, YOU!" the man aggressively placed the baby down, before looking at the first brother, baby Rolf.

he looked like his mother, which made the father calm down even more.

his eyes weren't full of scorn and hatred like he shown to the second child but were full of love and affection.

he wept, before saying

"The true successor of house Scamander.... will be you."

"Sir-"

"What is it? cant you see I'm having a moment."

"That's child, he's inherited the sickness."

"I see, send him to the orphanage then."

"Sir-you cant do that-"

"On what grounds?"

"Pure-blooded children can't be accepted into orphanages."

his eyes were full of disinterest.

"Oh."

that baby left the hospital without a name that day.

unlike his brother.

----------------

A young boy could be seen scuttling through a large mansion, dodging the nurses and the maid's looking for him.

on one hand, was a crutch of which the boy slowly moved about.

life wasn't fair for the crippled.

his leg was caused by his mother's illness. his case was stronger than his mothers, however.

he slowly roamed down the desolate halls, of which his father had told his servants to clear out.

a small library was stashed in one of the many rooms in the large mansion, with one of them being populated by 2 people.

his brother and his father.

"Your grandfather was known for being the prodigy of the genre of magic studies called Magizoology, known for writing the best selling book the-"

Rolf's mouth was about to open when a young boy pushed open the door

"FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM!" the young boy, who had dark shaggy hair and golden eyes quickly said. he would have been quite handsome if not for his skinny constitution and sickly body, of which the clutch reflected.

"Why...Why are you here?" His father muttered, anger present on his face

"Father, why cant I learn with big brother?"

The man sighed, stubble present on his face and his eyes full of tiredness.

"How many times do I have to tell you this?"

"You're useless. you couldn't even dream of beating your older brother."

"But... Grandfather said..."

"No but's. father must be going senile. now get out!"

the door was rudely slammed, leaving a teary-eyed boy outside.

Mylo. Mylo was his name.

his form of identity given by his grandfather.
