The Corpo Powerplant

John and Nesiara were flying over the city towards the Badlands knowing that V and Panam will be meeting soon to plan the kidnapping of Hellman.

They landed on a hill that gives them a nice overview of the district named Santo Domingo when John looks at it and says, "I still don't know why she isn't asking for our help. She knows that I can just overload myself to created an EMP to get the convoy down from the sky."

"She wants to make a name for herself, the same can be said about Panam. They just want to show that they can do it for themselves without help," says Nesiara as she saw Panam's car standing under them looking at the same view.

"It seems they are already here," says Nesiara seriously as John turns towards the Badlands.

"Do we keep the Nomads alive?" asks John talking about the Nomads that would normally die while trying to save the target and his bodyguards.

"We could," says Nesiara as John smiles at her.

"Good, at least we save some people from being massacred because they wanted to help some people that crashed," says John as he walked on the edge seeing the car leave.

"We should leave as well and make preparations for what is to follow after V shots the convoy from the sky," says Nesiara as she walked deeper into the Badlands with John right behind her.

They flew deeper into the Badlands near the place the carrier would crash soon. John and Nesiara prepared for it since Panam and V would arrive too late compared to the Nomads.

In the meantime in the Warhorse, Panam and V were driving towards the powerplant in Santo Domingo when Panam asks, "Have you left the two monsters behind?"

"Yes, I need to do this on my own. I can't have them involved in everything surrounding my life as if they are my parents," says V as she is connected to the Heavy Turret on the car.

"You sure about that? They treat you far too well for you not being their daughter," says Johnny who was laying on the backseat which made V mad since only she and Nesiara could see him.

'Will you shut your mouth,' says V in her mind to Johnny who only smirks.

"What, do you think that they are doing all of it just for fun? You must really mean something to those two or they wouldn't have treated you like that," says Johnny to V seriously as Panam was ready to crash her car the gates that were between them and the Corpo Powerplant.

"You ready V?" asks Panam rhetorically before she pushed the pedal through ramming her car against the gates breaking them down while activating the security system.

Drones began to fly towards them and V had to defend them using the tower on the Warhorse while a clone of Nesiara was hiding in the shadows watching them to make sure that V's new upgrades are functioning as they should.

V was shooting the drones down easily before Panam broke into the inside of the powerplant when she throws some explosive devices at V who de-linked from the tower.

She catches the small bombs and leaves the car with Panam when V begins to feel like she had a hangover because of the electric field she was standing in making Johnny feel immense pain which he never felt before.

V began to place the bombs around the place while Johnny was complaining when V suddenly feels pain coming from her chest the closer she came to the source of the electric energy.

"You alright there?" asks Panam seeing V holding her chest as she placed the last load on the source.

"Just a headache and some chest pain because of the generators," says V as they returned to the car before driving away again.

Johnny suddenly appears in the backseat and says nervously, "Let us never do this again. It almost melted my brain."

'So it was you that was giving me those headaches and chest pain just some moments ago,' says V to Johnny when Panam follows her line of sight looking at her backseat seeing nothing there.

"Are you alright there?" asks Panam worried about V as she drove away.

"Yeah, I was just making sure that nobody was on the backseat," says V making up an excuse when Johnny smirks.

"Liar," says Johnny in a funny tone which almost made V turn around again just to glare at him.

They arrived at a hill on which they could see the powerplant and they waited for their target to overfly the powerplant to emp it.

"So why are we doing this again?" asks Panam curiously since V hadn't informed her why they are kidnapping a person this well-guarded.

"Remember the chip that you couldn't scan before when I connected to the tower," says V as Panam nods before V says, "The chip is a Relic which Arasaka is selling soon. I and a friend of mine stole it the night Saburo Arasaka was killed by his own son."

"You are shitting me," says Panam looking at V shocked because she heard from the heist that went wrong in the Konpeki Plaza.

"We survived somehow but got betrayed in the end by our fixer who almost killed me and my partner. He dragged me away while Nesiara found my partner and saved his life," says V as she leans back into her seat.

"*sighs* The Relic saved my life but it is killing me at the same time since it is trying to change my brain so the engram on it can live in this body," says V as Panam didn't know what to say.

"That's why I need Hellman. He is the main developer behind the Relic. If someone can remove the Relic from my head without killing me it should be him," days V with hope as Panam looks in front.

"So we find Hellman and he might have a solution for your problem," says Panam as V nods.

"That's right," says V as Panam curses while holding her head between her hands.

"Then let us get that motherfucker," says Panam as Nesiara's clone throws a stone at the roof of the Warhorse making both get attentive again.

They almost missed the package as Panam begins to drive while saying, "Push the button V. I need a better angle to shoot them down."

V pushes the button but it didn't work as she continued pushing it before she says, "It isn't working!"

"Shit, the field must be blocking the signal," says Panam while at the same time Nesiara's clone entered the powerplant.

"It seems, they forgot that the powerplant can naturally block the signal of the detonator," says Nesiara's clone as it began to use lightning magic overpowering the powerplant before it released the whole energy creating an emp that hit every car in the air.

The clone dissolves as it was hit by the energy at the same time in the Warhorse V thought that the detonator worked as they see their package get hit when Panam says, "Take the wheel!"

V does as Panam said and Panam stretches herself out of the window and grabs the rocket launcher she has on the roof before aiming at their package and pulling the trigger.

The rocket flew directly at the package hitting it directly while Panam dropped the launcher before crawling back into the car while saying, "I hit it directly. It should be coming down soon."

Panam takes the wheel again and kicks down the pedal going at full speed up the hill before they follow the trail of black smoke. They were driving when Panam hears familiar voices over her radio which were on their way to help the people they shot down a moment ago.

Panam tries to warn them but she doesn't get through to them when she smashes her speaker against her radio out of frustration while saying, "Fuck, the emp must have damaged my radio! I can't warn them!"

"Don't worry, we will be there before something happens to them," says V trying to reassure Panam that everything will work out.

At the same time on the other side, John and Nesiara were already on the landing site as they watched two more cars driving this way and they weren't Nomads.

"It seems the Corpos are faster than expected here," says Nesiara as John takes Mjølnir from his belt and throws it at one of the cars.

The hammer breaks through the whole car while releasing a spark of lightning making the car explode before John stretches his hand out towards the hammer calling it back.

"Now there is only one more car coming," says John as Nesiara summons Omega into her hand and she ignites it before throwing it at the other car.

The driver tried to evade but the spear was too fast and it pierced through it before hitting the tank making the car explode as well.

"Now we only need to take care of the drones coming our way," says Nesiara as Omega manifested in her hand again.

"We leave them to V and the others. The Nomads shouldn't be in any danger as well since the enemy has to worry about how to get to Hellman and the wounded in the package," says John as they have done enough to make sure the Nomads don't get massacred by the Corpos just for trying to help.

They then disappear from there leaving the rest in V's hands as they returned home and John told Nesiara about the call he received from Rebeca and that she was worried about them.

"The girl should be worried about herself. She is traveling loaded and could be robbed by some at any moment," says Nesiara worried about Rebeca since she wasn't near them like V and the other.

"Don't worry about that, I have a clone following her so if something happens he can intervene if the situation calls for it," says John as the clone was made to save Rebeca if it was really needed and she couldn't deal with the situation on her own.

"Anyway, tomorrow we should hear from V what she found out so far," says Nesiara as she sat down on the couch and turned on the tv before John joins her holding two glasses with whiskey.

"Are you trying to turn me into an alcoholic?" asks Nesiara as they were drinking too much lately.

"Enjoy it while you can once we are back in the Dragonball Multiverse we won't be able to drink this much since Bulla will be there trying to imitate us," says John as Bulla was quite the clever but naughty child.

"Now that you say that," says Nesiara taking the drink before saying, "Cheers!"

They drank while watching tv while V and Panam dealt with the rest on their end.
