As I ran towards Kamura I felt his Chakra building up.
"Water Style: Water Dragon Bomb Technique." – he shouted.
A gigantic dragon made of water shot towards me without me being able to dodge out of the way.
All I could do was raise my knives in a defensive position.
When the impact happened I felt my whole body suffer tremendously.
Two hundred thousand, the son of a bitch who put that bounty on his head is just an asshole.
When I stabilized myself, Kamura gave me a surprised look.
"Even a Jounin would have trouble surviving this Jutsu, his body is very resistant, it's a shame I was never interested in experiments." – he said with a sadistic smile.
The knives in my hand had become just fragments.
With effort I reached my hand to my backpack and took out four kunais with Explosive Seals attached to them.
Using my last strength, I threw them, anticipating any move he could make.
I felt Kamura move quickly, dodging the first three, but not escaping the last one.
The former Kiri Shinobi's lower body scattered across the cave in pieces as I could hear him dying.
I dropped my body and started meditating immediately to speed up my recovery.
It took hours of meditation until I regained my movement.
I shouldn't have faced him while using the weights, it slowed down my reaction time a lot. Who am I kidding, it was my arrogance that got me into the state I was in.
Kamura was close to Jounin level without a doubt with that Jutsu. While all I had was a basic knowledge of Fuinjutsu and competent Taijutsu.

Even though I've been using knives for the past few years, my Kenjutsu has progressed, I think you could say it's more about my familiarity with blades, as up until now I haven't used swords.
So complicated to apply knowledge in systems different from my original one.
Once I was able to move, I started to collect everything of value I found.
The only thing that made me feel better was when I searched the cabin I found 350 thousand ryo. Kamura had almost twice as much money as his head was worth.
With my loot in one bag and Kamura's head in another, I headed to the nearest point to claim my reward.
The delivery place was hidden in a low-end restaurant.
I was guided to a hidden counter inside the restaurant's inventory room. When I arrived, the point operator already gave me a suspicious look and when presenting Kamura's head he wrinkled his nose.
The operator almost refused to confirm the identity, but after much insistence he did so.
All the ill will turned into unbelief.
Without saying a single word after confirming his identity, he collected the money and handed it to me.
I needed to heal, but alone it would take me days, maybe a week to be 100%.
I mentally apologized to Ayame and headed to the nearest brothel.
After spending thirty thousand on prostitutes, I was as good as new the next morning. I had to turn down the offers of free services if I stayed a little longer and left.
As I walked through the market an object caught my attention.
The quality was far below what I would consider adequate, but it would serve me well for the next year possibly.
On a towel on the floor, an elderly man was trying to sell his items. He clearly needed money, it was easy to see that he was malnourished.
Spears are not common Shinobi weapons, so they were difficult to sell, especially at the price he was asking.
One hundred thousand ryou is a considerable amount even for ninjas.
The spear was made entirely of metal and was not very flexible, but at least it wouldn't fall apart when I used it to attack. The blade had seen better days, but with a little care it would come in handy.
Retrieving the money from my side bag I extended my hand to the old man.
"By the spear." – I said succinctly.
The old man looked up and smiled.
"At least one recognized the value of my family heirloom. Let me warn you young man, my grandfather participated in several battles during the dark times with this spear in hand and it never failed, so much so that he died of old age at home." – he said before taking the money.
I knew he was referring to the clan period before the Villages were formed. Those had been times of violence, more so than even the great Shinobi Wars.
"Good to know I'll have a reliable companion." – I returned these words to the man.
With the spear in hand, I spun it around, testing its balance and making mental notes of modifications that I would need to make for it to be partially decent.
The path from the Country of Hot Springs and the Country of Grass took three days.
Harake was hiding in one of the villages disguised as a merchant, a more surgical mission than the previous one.
I hid waiting for Harake to close his shop and started following him until there was no one else in sight.
When I found the opportunity, I advanced with the intention of ending the fight with a single spear strike.
Harake reacted faster than I expected.
"Earth Style: Earth Wall." – he shouted.
The earth started to move and blocked my path.
Using the advantage of now having my favorite weapon in hand, I slammed the spear shaft into the ground and pushed it over the wall.
Harake didn't expect me to do that, but he reacted in time to block my shot.
The impact caused me to change direction and become trapped between my target and the wall. I got into a defensive position with my spear bridged in front of my chest.
"Earth Style: Earth Spike". – said Harake while forming seals.
As soon as he hit his hand on the ground, a series of spikes came out of the ground towards me, but only one of them was really dangerous.
Using the spear handle I trimmed the spike with difficulty.
Taking advantage of the pause after the Jutsu, I used the wall to propel myself towards him.
Harake dodged the spear tip with ease.
Taking care that he didn't retaliate I spun on my right knee carrying my spear in a sweep. Harake blocked it with a kunai, but with my physical strength I pushed him a few meters to the side.
Now holding the spear with both hands, I routed my Chakra through the spear and made a well-aimed thrust. The Chakra rotating through the spear increased its penetrative power and when Harake tried to block the thrust, the kunai was simply thrown away and I hit my target squarely.
With my spear in the impaled Harake's body the fight came to an end.
