CHAPTER 260: Might (2)

The next day, the second round of the second competition was held. The arena was even more livelier today. Everyone was talking about twin moon sect who held fiftieth rank who suddenly climbed to the tenth rank. Some were filled with anticipation while some were thinking that it might not be the case and the five great sects were just giving them a handicap.

The second day was the most anticipated because some guesses that the five great sects would surely show their might and retain their ranks.

They aren't wrong with that though, although the five great sects didn't put great importance in this year's sect exchange they still can't wash off the embarrassment if this continues.

Just like the first part of the second round, the second part is also a team battle composed of five members. Huang xin, little cheng shi, shui xian zi, yu san, and yu si would be participating this time.

"I see that everyone has high spirits today so let's begin the second part of the second round. This time instead of collecting flags the team would be protecting a sand tower. You have to destroy your opponents sand towers, those who could destroy more towers while keeping theirs safe would gain more points. Each tower is worth fifty points, so the best of luck for everyone." The host announced enthusiastically.

"oh right participants, this round would only last for five hours" the host reminded cheekily.

The crowd's faces were red with excitement as they cheered, they bet almost all of their fortunes this round so they were like banshees screaming at the top of their lungs to cheer their teams. 

The betting game was exciting, there are bets for the overall winner and bets for every rounds and the stakes are getting higher and higher.

Twin moon sect gained a lot of supporters as many people bet on their win seeing how fast they climb the ranks yesterday. When they saw their participants going down they were even more noisier as they called out to shui xian zi and huang xin.

Zi'er was shy as she hugs black turtle with cheeks flushing, she's still not use to the attention she's getting. She's been holed up inside the palace since birth. Huang xin on the other hand was over the moo, she even waves elegantly to the crowd. Yu yue's eyes twitch at the scene when she recalled this is how girls in the pageant acted in the modern world.

Fan xing xing clenched her hands, ever since this people appeared it's as if everyone has forgotten about her. Out of jealousy she instructed her maidservant, she hand her a bubbling white liquid in a vial. She remembered that the girl waving her hands like a beauty queen as she steps down to the arena was the most loathsome one. She narrowed her eyes venomously. 

Before the participants entered the arena a sand tower rises from the ground and the scenario change into a sand village with towering buildings like a maze.

Yu yue eyed the arena with interest, after exhausting her mental strength yesterday she still hasn't figured out the purpose of the absorbing array.  Xingze and her has been researching about it but they still can't figure it out.

As she was in deep though the team battle started.
