The sun rays shone into the room, pierced into his heavy eyes and he winced and closed his eyes tight. He rolled over on his belly only to feel a cold surface under him. The surface was hard and it hurt his body, nothing like his soft bed in the room.
He furrowed his brows and groaned while sitting up to inspect what was causing the anomaly. His ears were ringing too. He looked around with his half opened eyes and discovered that he was indeed lying on the floor in his sitting room.
What had happened last night? Did he sleep here? It had to be the case since his body was aching like crazy and he had a terrible headache that could split open a can of milk. It was heavy and his body felt robotic.
That's right, Jason thought, he had drank last night at this bar and they had given him some hard liquor to help cool himself off. He had to admit that it worked and he was able to get his mind off Janna's betrayal.
