Bryan flipped the paper and looked at it. It was written by Anna:

"Life gives us a chance but death unifies us…just remember I was once your partner."

Bryan frowned after reading that, it felt like she was giving him a goodbye note. After pondering for a while he shrugged and treated it as one of her hard jokes. He had seen her pull worse jokes than this.

The other time she had called him in the middle of the night and told him that she was dying; he had rushed over but found her healthy and even watching TV. It took him three days to calm his racing heart.

He stood there for a while before grabbing his shirt; he was heading out to get food.
