Chapter 22: First Working Day with Rayan-Part 1
A month and a half before George’s death.
Jasmine’s first week was over, and she was counting the days for this coming Monday to meet her prince charming, Rayan.
During the previous week, Alex managed to grow a strong friendship with Lily, but with Jasmine, He was trying harder.
Jasmine started acting differently with Alex. She was more polite and very formal. She felt that Alex’s actions with her might be more than just trying to be friends, which she would never accept. Yet, it was not surprising to Jasmine, as she used to be admired by everyone she met.
For Jasmine, Alex was kind, but normal. Caring, but not mysterious. Above all, he had nothing special, neither in the way he looked nor socially. He was a simple HR manager for a department without staff. He did not even own an apartment, and he could not afford to pay full rent by himself. He was not the type of person to hang out with.
