DECEPTION

Declan's POV

Of all the conclusions for her to reach she gets to this one first.

"I'm not in love with her"

I get the feeling that merely from the way that came out my mouth she already knows i am lying. She smirks and i know that this isn't Jayde. I don't think Jayde has such a mischievous smirk.

"Lemme guess, you did something to annoy her and instead of you to apologize you ended up doing something worse?"

I look at her and instead of me to get angry at the fact that she is making such bold assumptions i get the feeling that she is actually very witty. She's bold too and i like that.

I smile and i groan at the same time.

"Are you a witch?"

I see something flicker across her face, an emotion that feels all too close to anger and i feel the rush that i was getting from talking to her earlier fade. She laughs.
