Dinner With The Alpha

I made sure to be downstairs at exactly seven. Godric was waiting at the bottom step with his back to me. Alex was waiting with him. They seemed to be discussing something important. Alex looked up at me coming down the stairs. The expression on his face was one I had never seen before. Godric must have thought the same thing because Alex's expression made him turn towards me. I couldn't help but blush from the attention they both were showing me.

As I reached the bottom steps, I asked to break the tension, "Where are we all going for dinner?"

Godric corrected me. "Alex won't be joining us for dinner. It will just be me and you tonight. Is that ok with you?"

He led me towards the front door. I took a look back at Alex, who had taken a seat on the bottom step. He watched until we disappeared out the doorway.

"You still haven't answered me. Where are we going for dinner?"

"Don’t worry little one. We aren't going far."
