It is but a Workout

"I don't think that it was them to be frank. They don't have such powers. It must have been an outsider."

Yami responded, much to the silhouettes thoughts.

"Right, I think so too." The seemingly leading silhouette among the three said.

A white and sudden steam emerged out of nowhere.

"Is this it? Is this the enemies attack?" The silhouette asked.

It was a Minotaur. The three silhouettes were Minotaurs. All about five times stronger in raw strength than a normal ogre with the leader being even stronger.

Minotaurs were very moody beings. They could laugh with someone at one second and kill said someone because they didn't like their laugh for example.

"Get together! Don't separate under any circumstances!" The leading silhouette said with a bad mood.

The three Minotaurs grouped together, back to back, awaiting the incoming attack.

They noticed something strange.

"Lil monkey? Where are you?" The leader asked.

"I am here! I can't see you…!" Yami said worriedly while merging with his shadow.

This steam would be perfect for him if he was able to see through it. Unfortunately however, he couldn't. Thus his retreat.

The Minotaurs heard Yami's voice fading and started thinking that he already got killed.

"Come out you bastard! Fight like a proud beast!" One of the Minotaurs said.

"Hahahaha!" They heard a laugh in their minds.

"You think I need to fight you directly to be considered a proud beast? This will be but a workout for me." They heard the voice say.

Hati wanted to fight against these Minotaurs by himself to test his ability on a small group out.

He first wanted to intimidate them and let them panic to take them out easier.

"What is that? A Wolf? Hahaha no wonder you don't want to fight head on." The Minotaurs leader laughed, mocking Hati.

"You will see soon enough."

"Eh? How? I didn't feel any more than you?!" The leader looked at the appearing Wolves as if they were ghosts.

He couldn't detect them at all. It was quite scary to find out you were surrounded but only found out when the one surrounding you willingly showed up.

'We must not underestimate those Wolves.' The MInotaurs thought.

They saw about 15 Wolves seemingly walking into their vision.

They started running circles around the Minotaurs

"We have to take out five each, is that clear? But leave the last one alive for interrogation."

"Understood." Both Minotaurs responded.

*Awoooooooo!!!*

They heard a loud yell before three of the wolves stormed at the Minotaur with the weakest aura.

It was surprised to suddenly see three of them lunge at him.

It rushed a bit forward before noticing something was strange.

The was a fourth one coming from behind!

The Minotaur rushed forward to escape the sneak attack and was separated from its group.

"You idiot! Get back! THAT was his plan, how come you idiot fell for it so easily?!" The leader said angrily.

"I can't! They will attack the moment I move!" The surrounded Minotaur said.

Then afterwards a sudden black sphere came out of the Minotaurs shadow along with a long string.

Yami decided to help after all. He also wanted to test his new ability out to get more used to it.

He locked the black sphere onto the Minotaurs face and it was unable to smell, hear or feel any aura. Yami couldn't move while he did that. This was another point he needed to get a solution to in the future.

He couldn't always depend on someone else to kill his opponents while he blocked them.

He needed to learn precise control so that he could move freely while using the sphere.

This caused two Wolves to yell again and rush to the Minotaur.

"Idiot! Look ahead! There are two of them rushing at you!" The leader yelled.

The leader didn't know what that small black sphere was, so he didn't know its abilities to cancel sound either.

The Minotaur screamed in fear of being unable to see and hear. The Auras of its companions also disappeared. It was truly scared. It started to wildly swing its fist around.

A Wolf jumped onto the Minotaur's back and bit its neck.

The Minotaur started to feel extremely cold.

Ice started spreading all over its body.

The Wolf that bit him let go after its neck was completely frozen.

The Minotaur got slower and slower until it didn't move anymore.

Hati also learned how to control how much he wanted to freeze his opponents.

This would not use as much spiritual energy and he could use his abilities linger that way.

The two Minotaurs saw their companion fall and got angry. Angry about their companions idiocy and at their opponent for killing him.

"Get your ass here, dog!" The leader yelled.

'We mustn't separate.' He reminded himself.

He took a crude fighting stance and told the other Minotaur to also get ready.

They needed to fight on spot and not move.

What they didn't think about was that they could have moved together, at the same pace and direction. But they weren't able to think clearly with such a disadvantage at hand.

They saw four Wolves lunge at each of them.two in front while one came from right and the other from left.

They made a wide swing horizontally to hit the highest amount of Wolves.

'Strange. I swear I saw that hit connect. Why didn't I feel him on my fist?' The leader asked himself after hearing a screech.

"Ahhhhhh!! So friggin hot! What is this?!!" The other Minotaur said. He had a huge scar on his back and his fur started burning shortly after getting scratched at.

The other Wolves seemingly took this as an opportunity and another two charged at the burning Minotaur.

The leader looked on in disbelief while he suddenly saw his last companion getting eaten by the Wolves.

The burning Minotaur wasn't getting eaten. , the leader only thought so because he fell for Hati's illusion.

The leader then looked at the Wolves in front of him and thought of something.

He threw a fist at one of the Wolves and hit it after it failed to dodges his strike.

The scene was weird to look at.

The place where the Wolf was hit turned to steam and healed again.

It hit the Minotaur.

"YOU DAMNED LITTLE BASTARD! COME OUT AND FIGHT ME ONE ON ONE! WITHOUT THESE LITTLE TOYS!!!" The Minotaur was thoroughly enraged.

"You truly want that? I wanted to play a bit more but fine."

The steam got sucked up into one of the Wolves while the others disappeared.

A small black sphere started emerging out of the last Minotaur's shadow while its attention was on Hati and the steam was still being absorbed.

The small sphere locked onto the face of the Minotaur and he became unable to sense anything.

"FUCK! So this is why he was taken down so fast?!" Hati lunged at him and bit his neck with his Ice attributed teeth.

The Minotaur struggled and tried to get Hati off its back but failed and slowly died.

"I'm sorry" Yami said before the Minotaur died for good.

'So he sided with the intruder!!' This was the Minotaur's last thought before dying.

"Why did you apologize?" Hati asked.

"Because I knew him. He may have had a very short temper and likes to kill, but, he also has a nice side to him. He was the one that looked after the Lechys and my kin for a while when we were new here."

"Do you regret becoming my subordinate? Be sincere here." Hati said with a honed look in his eyes.

"I don't know for sure yet. I need to wait and see what happens first." Yami said while sighing.

"Hahaha, that is also fine! We will see a lot in the future! That I can assure you of." Hat chuckled again.

"But you truly need to learn how to control the small black sphere. It may come a time where there won't be someone with you when you need to use it in the future."

Hati reminded Yami and started gathering his spiritual energy again to rest a bit.
