In his capsule, OriginalMagus loaded the game for the first time in 3 days.

These past three days, he had been pondering about the words of the Sage. Although he was a high-levelled NPC, from the words he was speaking and the fact that he knew quite a bit about them, he had acutely observed something.

The Sage made decisions which were quite different from normal NPCs. In Ultimatum, as far as he had seen in the Beta Version, all NPCs behaved like normal functioning humans. Whenever he tried to speak to them about this world being a game, they would just ignore him and tell him that he was saying nonsense. However, The Sage had actively confronted them about this fact.

And OriginalMagus knew exactly what this meant. The Sage was a 'Special' NPC, which meant that it was created personally by the Game Devs for certain reasons, or future plot. Such a status was naturally higher than any single main storyline or protagonist character.

This could only mean one thing for OriginalMagus. He had hit the jackpot!

With this in mind, OriginalMagus loaded into his pre-existing character and entered Ultimatum.

A little darkness, and some flashing lights later, he finally entered the game world he had been waiting for, for three whole days.

Opening his eyes, OriginalMagus noticed the familiar sky and canopy. He was back in the place where he had first entered. Only difference was that he had all his equipment.

He had already read about this in the instruction guide. All players would start in the same location, whether they be beta players or new players. However, from this version onwards, all version updates would not have the same feature. People would get to pick and choose where they would load, based on save points within their organisations and cities.

For now, OriginalMagus had all his equipment and levels, along with his skills and talents with him, and he looked around only to find a large number of people looking at him jealously.

"Hey, hey, look at his equipment."

A rich fellow huh?"

"Hmph! P2W will get you nowhere."

"Wait, he must be one of the Beta players!"

"Yes, look at his tag, OriginalMagus! Isn't he the pro-gamer?"

"Hmph! So what! He has such good equipment. How much could he have levelled up during the beta's? There are so many of us? Why not take him Guild leader?"

"Yes. The equipment would be useful; however, do you guys remember who he is? He is the guild leader of SUPREME. Although they need to still officially create the guild in Ultimatum, their guild is one of the top 3 guilds in all of south Asia. Even if they only deploy 1/4th of their total guild members to Ultimatum, in order to maintain their power rankings in the other games, their numbers would still be around 4000 official members! Do you want to be hunted forever by such a force? You fool! I am sorry OriginalMagus. We will not bother you any longer." Said the man who seemed to be the leader of the 20 or so people who had previously been greedily staring at OriginalMagus, but were now looking away as though nothing happened.

OriginalMagus sighed. That could have been dangerous for him. Although he was already at level 7, there were 20 of them, and more were likely to join as time went by and more people logged in. He might not be able to survive for too long under those circumstances. Sighing slightly, OriginalMagus prepared to move to the nearest town as he opened his map, when he suddenly spotted something on the map.

There were multiple 'Friendly' units approaching form a single direction. Normal NPCs would not show up on the mini-map, while enemies would show up as hostiles red dots only if their level was lower than his own, or their sneak skill was lower than his passive detection level. Players would show up as white dots, while enemy players would show up as white dots with red centres. Friendly players would show up as white dots with green centres, and friendly units were friendly NPCs which came up as complete green dots. This could only mean one thing. That these NPCs were in his organisation.

But he was only in one single organisation, and that was…
