The realm of dragons (6)

[ Seraphina's POV ]

Grosk returned later that evening, more than an hour after sunset.

I was glad that Jarsey, the innkeeper, brought us food because Kiera got to fill her little tummy while listening to my stories about Duke, Zoe, Luca, Ash, Zeiroi, Treva, Sergio, and many others who lived with us.

Kiera was like a little vacuum, clearing the plates of rare-cooked meat and undercooked vegetables like they were nothing and I was sure she could eat more after she finished everything. That was enough food for ten grown-up humans! Grosk probably told Jarsey to bring a lot because he saw me annihilating all those bandits.

When Grosk returned, his eyes were shifty which made me wary, but I assumed it was because he feared that Jarsey was trying to rob him.

Kuro joined us and the three of us (and Kiera) went to the main level for a meal.

It was loud and crowded, and it smelled funny.
