Chapter 8

"The Nasa didn't post about the shooting star today." He stated as we sat at the nearest bench. I kinda felt sad about it but! There's always a next time.

"How's your day?" He asked. He's really friendly. The way he act and talk halatang pala-kaibigan talaga.

"Okay and not? I don't know. The lessons are getting harder and harder." I unconsciously pouted. His gaze shifted, He's now staring at the wide soccer field.

Of course we're not here to support Israel who's now currently on his way to us.

He arched his brow at hindi nag atubiling agawin sa akin ang hawak kong bottled water. Samuel's forehead creased.

Uminom ito habang naka-tingala. The way he gulped the water it look so damn sexy---just like shooting a commercial.

I averted my gaze as soon as he's finished drinking. Samuel spoke and my gaze shifted to him.

"Kala mo naman hot." Mahina ito pero pareho naming narinig ni Israel, natawa ako pero si Israel hindi. I immediately stopped laughing. Israel's cold aura showed itself.

"I.am.so.damn.handsome." Walang emosyong saad nito at may diin ang bawat salita nito. Samuel smiled and shook his head.

"I like Elon's visual, you're no match compared to him." Israel barked a laugh.

I didn't like what Samuel said, and I didn't like Israel showing up either. I heaved a deep sigh, I tried to look firm and emotionless. I stand up and they're both turned their heads to look at me.

"I rather go than watch the both of you cat fighting."

"There's no cat fighting here." Israel demanded. Hindi ko ito pinansin at tumingin kay Samuel.

"Tara na Samuel." Inaya ko si Samuel not because I want to, he's my date today and I should obey the rules to stick to the one who's on my schedule.

I might look like a play girl dating new men everyday, but I'm not! It's purely against my decision, It's my will and I should fulfill that.

Samuel drove the car away from the university, We left Israel with his cheeks as red as tomato. Probably fuming mad.

"I can't take you to any special place right now but next time I will." He started explaining. Hindi ako umimik hanggang sa maiparada na nito ang sasakyan sa mansyon.

I heard Julius loud laughing tone from afar.

"Dito nalang tayo mag dinner, Gavien and I will cook, pahinga ka muna." He patted my shoulder and left. I played deaf and ignored him. Dinala ako ng aking mga paa sa kung saan ko nadinig ang boses ni Julius.

He's at the pool, swimming, alone, but I don't know why I heard him laughing a while ago. He stopped swimming when he felt my presence.

He's dripping wet, He's topless and my goodness gracious! I don't want to see abs! Nababaliw ako! I avoided my gaze before it scan's Julius body.

"Ang aga niyo?" He swiftly grabbed the towel from the chair near us. He's now trying to dry his hair. Nang mapansing hindi pa ako sumasagot natigil ito sa pagpupunas at taas kilay na tumingin sa akin.

Tumikhim ako at nagbilang ng daliri. Check ko lang ulit, baka kulang.

"What's gotten into you?" I quickly shook my head and mentally face palmed myself. Ang tanga ko pala sa ginawa ko!

"I heard you laughed kanina. I was wondering why?" I change our recent topic. Napahinga ako ng maluwag ng makitang naging interesado ito.

"I saw Elon before I got here. I guessed I pissed him off? Well, I don't care. Natawa lang ako dahil muntik na itong mahulog sa pool kanina." He paused and smiles.

"Ayan kasi, nakarma na siguro dahil sa kasungitan nito."  Natawa pa itong muli.

Napangisi ako. Buti nga sa kanya. Never ko pa itong nakakausap mula noong dito na kami tumira, He's not that snob though, I saw him talking to Gavien days ago.

Bukod kay Gavien ay wala na itong ibang kinakausap pa.

"Elon's the only heir of his family right?" Nagkibit-balikat ako. I have no idea and doesn't care at all.

"If he is then pareho kayo ng pinagdadaanan." Kumunot ang noo ko. "Bakit naman?" Napailing-iling ito at napahawak pa sa kanyang baba.

"You're the only heiress and he is too." I'm totally confused, He saw my confused reaction.

"If you both ended up with each other, you both will save your family's hierarchy." He said, voicing out his own thoughts.

"I doubt it." Gulat itong lumingon sa akin.

"You can't tell what lies behind the future." Nagkibit-balikat akong muli. We can't really tell, but we can tell about what's imposible stays imposible!

"Hosea!" We both turned our head to Samuel. I noticed that sweats wet his hair, but he still look so good. Ngumiti ako kay Julius bilang pag excuse sa aking sarili at tumungo kay Samuel.

"Let's eat." He said, smiling.

I appreciate how Samuel cook my favorite monggo dish for me.

"How did you know that this is my favorite?" I asked for like 5 times na.

"I told you, I asked your father."

"You asked dad? How? Where?" He stopped doing something to his fork and raised his head to see me.

"I saw him once at the mall, and that's it." He stated. Kumunot ang noo ko. Mall? Ridiculous! My dad hates the mall the most! Anong gagawin nun sa mall?

"And..." Nagdadalawang isip pa ito kung itutuloy niya pa ba o hindi pero sa bandang huli ay itinuloy na nito.

"I saw him chasing someone. Baka some important business man?" He continued. Mas lalo akong nagtaka.

"Business man doesn't need to chase someone." Elon uttered. Napansin kong ibinaba nito ang kanyang kubyertos at mukhang masuring nakinig sa usapan namin ni Samuel, he crossed his arms around his chest, I averted my gaze.

"I agree with Elon. Every business man is a professional. Letting your dad chase them or him? Is very unprofessional." Si Julius ito. May punto sila. I must ask dad about this matter.

Samuel grabbed my wrist stopping me from entering my room, We're all done eating and leave the work to Gavien who seems to like the kitchen than me. Psh.

He handed out a book. Not only a book! It's the book I've been searching for! It's about the stars, Constellations and etc.

It's rarely can be seen at a bookstore.

"Have a goodnight." He smiled and I did too. Hindi ko mapigilang mapayakap sa kanya. I jumped and hug him. "Thank you! Thank you!" I happily thanked him and can't stop the happiness that I'm feeling. He seems so shocked.

And Julius who's behind us,..na hindi ko alam kung kailan pa sumulpot was shocked too. His mouth forms an 'O'

"Wala na. Talo na." He muttered kasabay ng pagbagsak ng kanyang balikat.
