Chapter 5

Napabitaw ako mula sa paghawak ng seatbelt.

He's taken.

My heart didn't really ache, If I were to get to know more about him baka doon....doon na ako mahulog. Ilang araw pa lang kaming magkakilala. We barely talk and this day is our freaking date!

"Is that's the reason why you're so distant?" Hindi ko mapigilang mag tanong. Umiling ito at sumandal sa backrest ng upuan niya.

"I am not distant. I'm just like this." He said without looking at me. "Then....Why are you one of my suitors? I'm sure dad won't choose you if he knew that you're take-"

"We're in a secret relationship." He cut me off. His speaking voice sounded so serious!

Secret relationship? What's that thing? Anyways, hay, bahala na. My ideal guy is taken and I'm happy about it. Mas lalo ko pa nga siyang naging ideal man dahil sa nalaman na loyal pa ito!!

"I'm glad you told me about this. Knowing that your relationship with her is a secret, you trusted me." I genuinely smile at him. "Should I call you 'kuya' from now on? You know?" He shake his head.

"Don't do that. The other suitors might've notice it." He stated the fact. Tumango-tango ako.

"You were forced to stay with me....I mean, all of you actually. I'm willing to do everything just so you all find your freedom even if you're all staying with me." I voiced out my own thoughts.

"I won't ask more about your relationship. Ill keep it a secret." My eyes landed on his, of course my heart goes crazy again. Napatuwid ito ng umupo saka ngumiti sa akin.

He smiled. He did. He smiled!

His smile.....It was a sight that filled me with awe and reverence.

"Thank you Hosea. My Sara will be so happy if she heard about this." The way he mentioned her name, it sounded like she was the only woman in his eyes.

My ideal man. Indeed.

"We'll still continue dating. Act normal and stuff. But I guess you know that I can't be the groom waiting for you at the altar." Aray naman.

"I know. I know." I said reassuring him.

Since when I was young mom told me that in life we can't have everything we want. Like in my situation, I can reach my ideal man but I can't.

Gaya nalang ng mga bituing nasisilayan ko ngayon mula sa terrace. I suddenly remembered Gavien.

He's like the star in the infinite galaxy, na sa una palang alam mong imposibleng mahawakan mo ito o mahagkan. Good thing we can see what's happening to that star, we can only see it, but we can't touch it. Ayos na siguro iyon? Napagmamasadan kahit sa malayo.

"Ayos ka lang?" It was Samuel, he join me watching the stars shining and twinkling high up the above.

"Oo." I sipped at the glass of milk he gave me. He slightly nodded and looked up. Tumingala din ako. We stayed silent, A very long but not awkward silence.

"Did you know? The story of Perseus the constellation?" He eyed me while asking. I shook my head. I don't have any idea.

"He slew Medusa while she's sleeping." He stated.

"Why did he do that?" Nagugulantang tanong ko. Pilyo itong ngumiti at tumingalang muli.

"Malay ko? 'Di ko pa nababasa ng mabuti e." Umirap ako. Engot.

"Bitin." Pareho kaming napalingon ni Samuel sa nagsalita.

It was Israel. Leaning on the wall behind us. Ngumisi ito ng napalingon kami sa gawi niya.

"Even my voice sounded so handsome right?" He comb his hair using his fingers. Magkatabi kami ni samuel pero pumagitna siya. Psh. Another engot.

Natahimik ako, pati na si Samuel.

"Did my presence made you all speechless? Sorry tho, Sobrang gwapo ko lang talaga." He smirked at me. Napailing na lamang si Samuel.

"Ang hangin, tatangayin ata ako." Bulong ko.

"Bitter." Dinig kong bulong din nito.

"What are you doing here?" Samuel asked. Israel's gaze landed on his. "Is there a problem?" Balik na tanong nito. Umiling si Samuel.

"Oh? Wala naman pala." Sarkastikong natawa pa ito. Ang atensyon nito ay muling ibinaling sa akin.

"Finally. our date is on Wednesday! Can't wait to be with you." Sumulyap ito kay Samuel at tumingin din muli sa akin. "Alone." Dugtong nito at walang pag-aalinlangang umalis.

That ggss. I'm sure Wednesday is not a best day for me.
