“Dad, it’s good to see you,” Art voiced out and silence reigned for the next one minute.
“Arty!” His father exclaimed giving him a big hug.
Somehow, his father covered the distance between them in an instant.
“I missed you so much. I told you that you didn’t need to go for that training but you’ve always been stubborn,” his father sobbed.
Art didn’t resist the hug, he knew that this was going to happen and resistance was futile.
His father finally broke the hug and stared at him. “I don’t know what to say about your recovery. You don’t know how happy I am. Remember when we played that little game? What was it you told me again…..” his father seemed to be trying hard to remember.
“That you would bare witness to the day I surpass you.” Art knew it, this was a test to see if he was actually the one.
