Lin Xiao Feng's White Moonlight

There was a long silence between them as An Nuan considered Lin Xiao Feng's arrangement.

It was impossible to say that she was not interested in Lin Xiao Feng's proposal. Marrying him rather than just anyone would be beneficial to her.

Her parents might not be against this idea that much. They knew Lin Xiao Feng and had seen him growing up from a young boy until he became a tall man.

The Lin family was one of the prominent figures in Y City. 

An Nuan knew that her decision to change the groom would become the talk of many people in the city. However, if she were to marry Lin Xiao Feng, the citizen would not dare to discuss her decision to change the groom that much.

An Nuan was aware that Pei Zhi Yi would return to find her tomorrow and begged her to marry him. He would coax her, guilt trip her until she finally agreed to return to his side.

If she were to marry Lin Xiao Feng, this man could protect her from Pei Zhi Yi.

Lin Xiao Feng is not just anyone.

The Pei family would not dare to trouble the Lin family if they wanted to continue staying in Y City.

An Nuan raised her head to meet Lin Xiao Feng's eyes again. This time, there was a hint of resolution in her eyes.

The door was finally pushed open from the inside half an hour later.

Zhang Yu Han stood up straight when he heard the sound of the opening door. His eyes fell on An Nuan's face before shifting to Lin Xiao Feng.

Seeing the calm look on their faces finally gave him a sense of relief.

Zhang Yu Han has been standing outside the door, on guard.

Other than preventing others from going into the room, Zhang Yu Han was also keeping his eyes on the situation between Lin Xiao Feng and An Nuan. If something happened, he would be around to help. 

"Is everything alright?" Zhang Yu Han asked.

An Nuan did not answer, knowing that Lin Xiao Feng would explain to his friend what was going on. She turned to Lin Xiao Feng and spoke, "I will go and talk to my parents first."

Lin Xiao Feng nodded. "I will meet you in half an hour."

"You can take your time." An Nuan lowered his head. "I don't think that Pei Zhi Yi would return today."

She has been with Pei Zhi Yi long enough to know that Sun Jiao would not let him return to her side very soon.

Lin Xiao Feng stared at An Nuan's face for a while. "Alright. Go ahead. I will find you later."

An Nuan nodded to Zhang Yu Han before turning to leave. 

Lin Xiao Feng watched An Nuan's figure until he could no longer see her. It was only then that he finally looked at Zhang Yu Han who had been waiting for his explanation.

"Yu Han..." Lin Xiao Feng spoke. The light in his eyes flickered. "I am getting married."

Zhang Yu Han frowned. "What is going on? Who are you getting married to?"

"An Nuan."

There was another long silence as Zhang Yu Han was silently observing his friend. He could not help wondering if his friend had gone insane now that An Nuan was about to marry someone else.

However, the serious look on Lin Xiao Feng's face let him know that this person was not joking.

Zhang Yu Han remembered something that he had heard earlier. He was waiting outside the door and happened to hear a few people discussing An Nuan's matter.

An Nuan's wedding was called off and she was looking for a substitute. 

It did not take Zhang Yu Han a long time to connect the dots. 

"Lin Xiao Feng, are you crazy?" Zhang Yu Han stared at Lin Xiao Feng angrily. "You wanted to take the place as substitute groom?"

"Why not?" 

Zhang Yu Han stared at his friend in disbelief.

"Yu Han you know well that I liked An Nuan."

The frown on Zhang Yu Han's face deepened.

As a friend who has been around Lin Xiao Feng for years, how can Zhang Yu Han not know about this?

An Nuan was considered Lin Xiao Feng's white moonlight. She was someone that he adored from afar but he did not dare to touch. 

When An Nuan announced that she was getting married, Lin Xiao Feng disappeared for a few days. 

When Lin Xiao Feng returned, Zhang Yu Han and the others thought that Lin Xiao Feng had finally accepted the reality—that he could not be with An Nuan. 

They thought that Lin Xiao Feng had finally learned to let go.

However, it seemed that Lin Xiao Feng still had feelings for An Nuan. Otherwise, he would not dare to pull something as crazy as this.

"When I found out that An Nuan was getting married, I regretted that I hadn't taken any initiative to pursue her," Lin Xiao Feng continued. "But Yu Han, you don't know how relieved I was when I heard that the bastard left her."

Lin Xiao Feng felt guilty for having such thoughts. But he could not help it. He was happy that An Nuan was not going to marry Pei Zhi Yi.

"And I just thought that if I did not take this chance, I might regret this for life."

"Have you forgotten the reason you did not pursue An Nuan in the first place?" Zhang Yu Han reminded him. "Your grandfather might not like this news."

"I know." Lin Xiao Feng nodded. "I have thought about this matter carefully. Yu Han, in the past, I was too young and powerless. Even if I pursue An Nuan, I won't be able to protect her. But things are changing now. I think, I now have enough power to choose whoever I want to marry."

Zhang Yu Han continued to meet Lin Xiao Feng's eyes for a long time, wanting to see if his friend was serious.

In the end, he heaved a long sigh and looked away. "Xiao Feng, it seems that you have made your decision and nothing I say would make you change your mind."

The crease around Lin Xiao Feng's brow eased up, knowing that Zhang Yu Han was not against his decision.

"Yu Han, I won't change my mind."

Zhang Yu Han lowered his head as he composed his thoughts. "Then, tell me what you need me to do."
