My name

With high speed, I approached the mountain and the mountain range behind it, representing the only way to the land of monsters.

According to the stories and maps, the world was divided into three continents, but I cannot verify that.

Two of them were connected by a relatively narrow ridge.

At its narrowest point, this ridge was only 100 km wide and harbored a mountain range higher than the Himalayas, with a summit towering approximately 21 km high.

The mountain range extended over a length of approximately 10,000 km, spatially dividing the continents.

Humans had claimed one half of the double continent, and the land Mia and I were heading to was the land of monsters.

The most powerful monsters in the world lived in this place, which is why normally no human soul dwelled there.

The third continent was similar to Australia, a massive island, and no one knows what is there, because no human had been there and returned.

Thanks to Mana, however, the planet could expand; I was convinced of that. A few years ago, I tried to reach the other side of the Monster Continent:

No chance.

Even though I ran at my maximum speed back then, I didn't even come into view of the coast. So, after two months of running, I gave up. Unfortunately, something followed me...

"Leo?" Mia said.

At first, I didn't react.

"I've decided!" my wife declared solemnly.

I looked at her questioningly, "For what?"

"You're now called Leo!"

I didn't question it and just smiled.

"Leo? That's a beautiful name! Thank you, I think..."

"...that we need to celebrate!" Mia finished my sentence.

I smiled mischievously at Mia, who looked back with a playful glint in her eyes this time.

I gazed at the sky; it was already afternoon.

"One more mountain, and then we'll rest for the night!" I said eagerly.

I jumped once more, crossing the valley, and landed gently on the snow-covered mountain peak.

"Let's make ourselves comfortable!" I said, setting Mia down.

No longer protected by my Mana radiance, she immediately started turning blue.

"Oops!" I immediately embraced her again; I had completely forgotten that it was around minus 60 degrees up here.

Then, I pulled a leather coat from my backpack and wrapped Mia in it.

"There, that should be enough!" I smiled.

"Yes! Thank you, Leo!" Mia replied, still shivering.

"Wait a moment; I'll quickly set up our camp!"

As quickly as I could, I pulled a tent out of the backpack, made of the same leather, and set it up in a flash. Then I lit a campfire, took a small sofa out of the backpack, and placed Mia on it.

"There, better?"

"Definitely!" Mia said, her color returning to her face.

"Then I'm reassured."

I then leisurely unpacked the rest and made the small tent comfortable.

After about ten minutes, I was done and trudged through the knee-high snow to the fireplace. It was lowered because I had melted the snow with my Mana beforehand.

Mia looked at me with big eyes.

I chuckled, turned around briefly, and grabbed a blanket from the backpack.

I sat down next to Mia on the small sofa, and she immediately took off her coat and came under the blanket.

She snuggled against me and murmured, "I missed you!"

"I missed you too!" I said sincerely and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

We watched as the golden sun set behind the mountains.

"Our home village is in that direction!" I said, pointing towards the sun, "easy to find!"

"Yeah, you know what?"

"Hmm?" I asked.

"It doesn't feel right to call it the village of death!"

I nodded in agreement.

"I overheard my parents talking about it; they wanted to rename it too."

"Good. And how?"

"I think it was..."

"Hmm?" I looked down at Mia. She was peacefully sleeping in my arms.

I smiled and brushed her hair from her face.

"Well, no celebration tonight!" I amusedly said.

I extinguished the fire, picked up the sofa, and carried her into the tent. I wanted to put her down, but my wife clung to me like a little monkey.

Quickly, I stuffed the coat and the blanket into the backpack, which, by the way, was made of special dragon leather, providing warmth for the coat and sofa and enlarging the inner space for the backpack.

I remembered the battle. It was a Star Dragon. Very powerful! That was, I believe, two years ago. The coat was from a simple Fire Dragon.

I laid down with Mia and slept.

The next morning, giggles woke me up.

"A drooling bear."

I slowly opened my eyes and saw Mia lying on my chest, watching me sleep happily.

"Good morning, Leo!" she smiled at me.

"Morning."

I looked down at myself and saw that Mia was only in her enticing underwear, and I had what many men have in the morning.

"No! Not now! I want to get off this cold mountain first!" said Mia pouting.

"Alright," I said jokingly.

"What do you mean alright?" she asked indignantly, "am I not attractive anymore?"

She pretended to be sad, and I laughed amused.

"I love you, Mia!" I said without any particular reason... or maybe, because I loved seeing how her mood changed when she was with me.

"I love you too, Leo!" she replied and gave me an affectionate kiss. "Shall we continue our journey?"

"Yes, but I have one more question."

"Yes?"

"Why do you call me Leo but compare me to a bear?" I asked curiously.

"Why? Hmm, good question," she pondered. "Maybe because you have a face like a lion. Your short hair may not be a mane, but it glows in the sunlight. Plus, your amber-colored eyes are very cat-like, only much wilder! Your canines are sharp, and the scar on your lip is the finishing touch."

"Ah, that's flattering!" I replied scratching my head.

"But your behavior is more like that of a bear... and your body is big and even stronger than any bear! That's why you're my Teddy bear, but a dangerous hunter for others!" she triumphantly explained and clenched her fist wich she raised to the sky .

As she stood up to change, I watched her breasts gently sway.

"You're driving me crazy!" I said and jumped up to hug Mia and placed both hands on her soft buttocks.

"No I said! And now get dressed!" she commanded.

With a smile, I gave her a playful smack, causing her to squeak briefly. Then I let go and turned around.

Mia and I dressed, packed all our things, and once my wife had comfortably settled into my arms, the journey continued.

This time, Mia hopped from summit to summit with visibly better spirits, squealing with delight at each jump.

Occasionally, dragons crossed our path, which I defeated without a second glance.

We traversed breathtaking landscapes: gaping canyons, icy waterfalls, lush green meadows, dark pine forests—all untouched by human hands.

From time to time, we stopped to enjoy the magnificent view.

By noon, we landed in a green valley with a crystal-clear pond. There, we washed each other and had a fun little water fight. Afterward, we ate leisurely... dragon meat, as always. But it's still delicious!

I lay in the grass, enjoying the sun and the wind gently brushing over my skin. Mia, as usual, lying halfway on my chest, dozed off, while I watched the white clouds play in the sky.

I observed two young dragons flying circles in the sky and laughed at how clumsy they were.

Adventurers dared to go behind the first or second mountain, depending on their strength. We, on the other hand, were behind the 300th or so; I didn't count.

Personally, I had ventured much further, although that was three years ago.

Nevertheless, I was always amazed at how the number of strong monsters increased with each valley.

I smiled at the memory of the encounter with the oldest known dragon. It is said that other dragons worship him as a god because he mastered every element.

It had been a tough fight, and if I hadn't risked all my Mana for one blow, I would be dead.

I wasn't far from the village; just a few valleys away, dragging myself home exhausted. I thought at the time that the dragon had poisoned me or something, because with every step, I felt worse, with one foot in the grave, bleeding from all holes, I took each step in a trance, reaching the village finally.

Mia found me then, half-dead in the village forest, while she was roaming the village with her father. That's when we properly met for the first time.

I looked down at her, and a blue butterfly settled on her forehead. It seemed to be drying its wings in the sun, spreading them out completely.

Mia, whose expression had changed, cautiously opened her eyes.

"Do we have to go on already?" she asked sleepily.

"If you want to," I replied with a smile.

She got up and announced, "Well then! Let's continue!"

Just as I held her in my arms, she asked, "Leo?"

"Hmm?"

"What is your goal, I mean, what place are we looking for?"

"We'll see when we get there!" I replied.

She simply nodded and prepared for the jump.

"Yuhuu!" she shouted in flight this time.

"Oh, found joy in it?" I asked her.

"Yes! This is insane! You jump several kilometers high and far! Like a lion! My little bear!" she smiled and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

I smiled a little cringey, „A bit too much."

„I also noticed…" Mia said with an uncertain smile.
