Chapter Four

Caleb P.O.V

I wake up to a white room and a pair of arms around my waist. Looking around the room, I see Jordan and Ry snuggled upon another bed, and figure this must be the nurse's office. I try to sit up, but the pair of strong arms pull me back down. Who is it? I analyse the situation for a second before figuring it was Aidan. I mean, I doubt it would be anyone else. So, knowing it was Aidan and that he wasn't letting go any time soon, I get comfortable in his hold again and turn to face him. I kiss his cheek and snuggle my head into his chest, inhaling his scent. I just lie there for a bit and wait for him to wake up.

"Babe..?" he whispers into my hair. I nod and take my head out of his chest to look at him. I examine his face and he looks as if he's been crying.

"A-Aidan.. were you crying..?", I ask, my voice quiet. I feel something hot roll down my cheek. Great, now I'm crying. Why am I even crying though? It's like my emotions are out of control. He wipes the tear from my cheek and sighs.

"Yes, Caleb. I was crying, but for many different reasons. And I can assure you, you'll be crying when I tell you one of them.", he says, smiling. What does he mean by that? I shoot him a look of confusion, but he just continues smiling. God, did his dad die or something?

"Aidan, love, what could be so good that you cried over it? Is your dad in the hospital or dead or something?", I ask blankly, knowing he'd laugh at this. Except, it's not only him that this comment earns a chuckle from. Hearing a seemingly foreign voice, I turn to see Jordan dying of laughter. Is what I said that funny? The laughter eventually dies down and Sho looks at me, a serious look on his face.

"No, Cal. as much as I'd love that, he isn't. This is.. about you. Well, I guess you could say.. about us? Jordan, you ass, give me a hand here, will you?", he says and shoots Jordan a look. Jordan simply nods and comes up to me. I scoot over, letting him sit next to me, and turn to face him.

"What is it, Jordan? It... it's not bad, right?", I ask, tears threatening to fall. He places a hand on my shoulder and shakes his head no. Then he covers my eyes and mouths something to Aidan. God, what's happening? I patiently wait for them to finish, and when they do, I have one of them on either side of me. I look between the two, trying my hardest to figure out what's happening.

"Caleb, you gotta stop looking so freaked out. It's not like you're dying. It's basically.. the opposite." Jordan explains. It's strange how he used to hate me and yet he still knows how I react to things and how to calm me down. But back to what he said, the opposite is life, right? And I'm alive, so that's good, but it seems as if there's more to it. Okay, Caleb, think. Life. I'm alive, but it's more than just that. May be linked to the past week or so? And my symptoms? I'm not super dull, I know they're symptoms of pre-. No. No way. It isn't, is it?

"J-Jordan... you're saying.. I..", my voice trails off as I burst into tears. Arms wrap around me and I instantly know who it is. That smell. That pine with a hint of vanilla. Aidan.. he must hate me. I've ruined his life. I struggle out of his grip and run to the closest bathroom.

Aidan P.O.V

He knows. He knows and he just.. pushed me away? Why did he do that? Isn't he happy? Thoughts like this consume my mind as I sit there, helpless. Riley went after him, saying it'd be better for him to talk to Caleb. He 'knows what's going on'. I wish I knew what the hell was fucking going on. My boyfriend is in the bathroom, most likely crying his eyes out, throwing up and feeling pain, and I'm sat here like an idiot. Who am I kidding, I am an idiot. I deserve the scar my mother gave me. Hell, I deserve much worse. And yet, I ended up with Caleb. All I can do is pray that Riley helps him.

Around an hour later, Riley and Caleb walk back into the room. I notice the latter boy fiddling with the hem of his hoodie and go over to him. Hesitantly, I reach out for his hands and hold them in mine. He gives them a gentle squeeze and puts his head down.

"I-I'm sorry... I didn't mean to push you away like that... I still love you! I swear! I-I was just scared you'd hate me for ruining your life.", his voice gets quieter with every word he speaks, yet I hear what he says. Every word. Clear as day. I release our hands and wrap my arms around him, embracing him in a tight hug. He stands there, stunned, for a second and then hugs back, squeezing tightly. A smile spreads across my face.

"It's okay, I love you too, baby. And we'll get through this, I promise. No lives ruined." I whisper into his ear. I feel dampness on my shirt and notice that he's crying. I gently rub his back and soothe him. I kiss his forehead and hold him close. Shortly after, we're interrupted by someone clearing their throat.

"Alright, you dumbasses. We know you love each other and all, but we have more important things to discuss. Like how I'm gonna be the best fucking uncle in the world!" Jordan shouts and raises his hands, a cocky smile on his face. Caleb laughs at this and ends the hug, walking over and embracing his blonde friend. He looks pissed at first but hugs back, mumbling "Stupid nerd. Always bringing out my soft side. He and Ry are too pure, I swear."

We all erupt into laughter at this and Jordan just scowls. I walk over, taking Caleb into my arms and hold him. Jordan and Riley are talking, so we have our privacy. I kiss him softly on the lips and kneel, lifting his hoodie. I kiss his belly before placing his hoodie back down. Then I wrap my arms around his waist and stick my face in the crook of his neck.

"I promise to treat you and our little miracle right. You both deserve the world and that's exactly what you'll get." I mutter. He blushes and wraps his arms around my neck.

After a while, we all decide to head back to the dorms. We have something to eat, get changed and just hang out all day. To be honest, these guys are amazing. Even Jordan, although I would never tell him that. But I seriously wouldn't change them for anything.
