The boom and the flash the fuck!

Feb 24th 2029 Florida Everglades midnight.

In the cool night in the the swamps of the Florida Everglades an eerie silence unnatural for this span swomp land. As if a pressure sets upon the glades. With out warning a gigantic boom one that even was felt in the south of Miami, in the middle of the state in Orlando, to the west coast of Tampa. Shaking the Earth like an earthquake being felt throughout Central and Southern Florida. As the shaking subsides a blinding beam of light shoots up into the sky between Big Cypress national preserve, and Everglades national Park just outside the water conservation area.The beam of light seen by all of Central and Southern Florida. A violent pressure and waves of energy being felt throughout the small region. As the light subsides the violent pressure and waves of energy subside and settle. A dead silence and darkness settles in the glades as if higher power commanded the wildlife to be silent. Everything silent like the Dead as a thick fog grows and expands spending 15 miles in every direction engulfing the small portion of the glades like a dome.

Feb 26th 2029 Washington DC oval office.

As President Victoria H Guilford an elegant beauty with long wavy brunette hair and crystal blue eyes with a strong deposition and strong character. She sits in her chair looking at these monitors that was set up in front of her desk she sits quietly looking at all the monitors showing the abnormality found satellite images in the small portion of the Everglades. Not sure how she should feel or what time think of the situation she is looking at. No one knows what the make of the abnormality that is occurred in the glades. The only thing Veronica could even think of in the moment was contacting the Florida governor to deploy the national guard and law enforcement to surround the area that prevent people from getting near the afflicted area. As of right now Veronica sits in the oval office debating with herself what to do in the current situation. Clearing her mind so she can make the appropriate decision in the moment. After 20 years of serving in the military she can revert back to the training she was given so she can think clearly on the situation at hand. Did you take a deep breath and makes a decision. She stands up grabbing her phone calling the vice president joint Chiefs of staff , the head of the House of Representatives and the heads of the science community for a meeting of what to do and how to do it.

As a meeting comes to a close Veronica and her Vice President Lucas l Miller alone in the meeting room. Veronica looks over to Lucas, hey Lucas you're extremely quiet during that meeting. Not putting much input towards the situation at hand. As Lucas looks at Veronica he sighs gathering his thoughts. To be honest with you Veronica I'm not sure how to think in this particular situation I grew up roaming around that swamp as a kid driving around an airboats and learning the swamp land. The fact that there's now going to be a military facility in the Everglades to keep contained others out. Not sure how to feel about the entire situation. Veronica understands where he's coming from something serious has occurred in his home and he's very concerned of the situation at hand. What makes the situation worse is that there is the unknown. Veronica taking a moment to gather her thoughts too convey what she wants to say. Lucas I understand your concerns but now that we have a plan we can now act. It's a little bit more extreme than I intended but I want to take no chances. With the support of the house and the Senate putting together an exploration teams is the better decision and they're going prepared for anything.

Once the planning and logistics and the selected personnel that will be investigating the admirality. They decided on five steps. Step one surveying and testing the outside of of the fog. Step two some four different drones from four sides of the area. Step three I found the fog is not toxic sending a recon teams of special force operators consisted of two SEAL teams and two Delta Force teams to recon the area. Step four sending in a team of scientists escorted by 75th rangers to the center of the the fog. Step Five sending in construction teams to establish a small base and setting up defenses. With these in mind the US government is hoping that they could figure out and determine the cause of the abnormality and find some sort of answers and not taking any sort of chances.

Mar 2nd 2029 Fort Moore Georgia

Fort Moore shooting range Lex, Jonny,Hector, Lamar, Ashley, and Rebecca getting in some training and placing bet on the range. As they are taking a break there's senior NCO sergeant major Richard D King walks up checking on his boys and girls see how things are going. Richard is a semi-muscular man who stands at at five foot nine he is a middle-aged man with black hair with some gray hair starting to show he has hazel eyes in a slight beard the same color as his hair. A very regimental man but very protective over his troops looking out for them like a father would for his own children. They did give him the nickname Pops for his treatment of all of them a nickname he does not mind answering too seeing as most of his kids are about their ages. As Richard walks up he calls out to them, hello boys and girls. What are you miscreants up to this time. As Lex look over at Richard and grins, well you know making theys guys give me money like free usual. Johnny looks at Lex with a dissatisfied look, yah you rat bastard you won't be keeping my money for long. Lex with a evil grin, yah yah yah you talk a lot but your dumbass can't gamble for shit. As everybody laughs at there antics Richard smiles know theys kids in front of him are the best of the best not worried about them in the least. Richard had an inkling that either Lex or Johnny or even though the boys act the way they do he knows that they're highly intelligent young men who ask questions to help from their own hypothesis. In an earlier meeting that week they heard about their role that will be taking place in the Everglades but the information was vague and still waiting on more information to go on. Johnny then rubs his head and ask well when do we leave it's already been inappropriate amount of time for them to test the toxicity in the air in the area. Lex looks at Johnny and thinks about that, well there be more to look into radiation for all we know that isn't fog it could be airborne pathogens. Johnny looks at lex and shakes his head, no it couldn't be it's staying stationary in a dome shape very unlikely. As the conversation continues Richard smiles these kids are something else.
