AT THE PALACE

Inside the palace hall the heat of the atmosphere from the argumentation made all the officials shivered from where they sat.

In the middle of the hall, facing the Emperor was Xiao Tianyao. He stood there unwavering while staring dagger at his Uncle.

Xiao Jun was stood not too far from him. The situation now was beyond his control. The taut on his face and vein that bulging from his forehead showed how much self control that he needed to not let himself burst in anger.

Looking at his brother stood there and openly defied the Emperor, made the situation was so unreasonable for him, Xiao Jun knew it must be part of Xiao Zi's trick, but here he was playing dumb and tried to pressure Xiao Tianyao.

"Tianyao! She is Xinghe's people!" Xiao Zi's voice boomed inside the hall that full with officials from both side.

The officials who sided with Xiao Jun were looking at him now with confused expression. They didn't know if it was Xiao Jun's move or Xiao Jun had really lost control over his brother.

They would approach him to ask this question later. But for now, whether it was a plan or not, someone needed to stop Xiao Tianyao before the situation was getting out of hand.

"You can get every woman you desire, but not someone from Xinghe!" The Emperor roared. He balled his fist and slammed it to the armchair.

All people that present were bowing their head upon looking at Xiao Zi's outburst.

"You will never take her from me." Xiao Tianyao said with dangerously low tone.

"Someone! Drag him outside of the hall and put him in the prison!" Xiao Zi bellowed with anger when he heard Xiao Tianyao defiant answer.

In an instant, around twenty guards were ready to bring Xiao Tianyao away. But, when the first guard approached him, Xiao Tianyao sent the guard flying by his effortless kick, crossing the hall and only stop when his body colliding with a pole.

The other guards who saw this gulped hard. They didn't want to face Xiao Tianyao as his name was well known across the Kingdom for his martial arts, but it was impossible to defy The Emperor order either. Thus, they were standing awkwardly on the side, still circling Xiao Tianyao.

"Tianyao! You defy me!" Xiao Zi stood up from his throne and pointed his finger at his niece, even though his expression was in anger and almost turned black. But, inside he was ecstatic by Xiao Tianyao's reaction.

To see Xiao Tianyao was so adamant to keep Luna, its mean everything went well with his plan.

When Xiao Tianyao was about to retort, Xiao Jun stepped in and hit the back of his head, he moved so fast and Xiao Tianyao wouldn't have thought that his own brother would launch a sneaky attack on him. Thus he fell on his knees, trying his best to not let the darkness took over his consciousness.

"Please give me time to talk with my brother." Xiao Jun lowered his head, but he kept his eyes glaring at Xiao Zi.

Looking Xiao Jun's fiery eyes, Xiao Zi knew that Xiao Jun had smelled his dirty plan, however what he could do in this situation except to beg his mercy to spare his brother? And Xiao Zi was happy to give that to him.

"Very well." He said with devious smiled that only Xiao Jun could see. "Because I still regard both of you as the sons of my deceased brother, you can bring your brother and put some sense on him." He waved his hand to dismiss all of them.

Xiao Zi knew that Xiao Tianyao wouldn't listen to his brother, so let them bit each other before he kill them at once. He was very enjoyed with his own game, it's like he was playing with his prey and tore them pieces by pieces.

Xiao Jun helped the disoriented Xiao Tianyao to stand up, but his brother brushed him aside and stood up by himself. He ignorantly walked out of the hall, didn't give any attention to his surroundings.
