Chapter 34

Days passed by as Han Bing continued to visit Qin Shi Ran. Although Han Bing doesn't mind helping him with common physical therapy, she feels that every time she comes, Qin Shi Ran would act more and more unusual. This has been happening for the past few weeks now.

She would always find him excessively close to her. Whenever she held him to walk, he would always put his full weight on her. Han Bing has told him many times that he needs to rely more on his leg muscles, but each time he stood up, his body leaned completely on her again. Han Bing felt like crying and laughing at the same time.

Han Bing organized her items as she prepared to leave. Qin Shi Ran greedily watched her every movement on the side. Han Bing shivered a second. She has been feeling someone's gaze for a long time. However, everytime she looked around, she would find no one else besides her and Qin Shi Ran.

Han Bing narrows her eyes at the eyemask that Qin Shi Ran is wearing.

"Doctor Han, would you like to stay for dinner? It is our last meeting."

Han Bing thought for a moment and agreed. She wants to see what tactic Qin Shi Ran was playing all along.

"Would you mind if we have steak for the night?" Han Bing proposed. Qin Shi Ran clapped his hand once and a maid immediately appeared. "Tell the chef to make steak for dinner."

"Yes, young master." The maid bowed professionally and walked out in silent steps. Han Bing nodded her head at the maid's movements in admiration.

Han Bing was led to the dining room. The table in the center was glassware with an elegant chandelier on top. There were many priceless vases placed on simple shelves. However, those who are deeply into the furniture business will know that all these furniture are low profile brands.

Han Bing took a glass of wine and slowly drank it. Han Bing would occasionally drink wine to satisfy her need for alcohol.

The dish and silverware was placed in front of her. The steak was cooked into medium rare brewed with red wine and garlic sauce. A warm scented steam came out from the steak inviting the users to take a bite at them.

The servers left right after finishing their designated jobs. Han Bing got up and silently walked to Qin Shi Ran's direction. Qin Shi Ran calmly wiped his hand pretending to not see anything.

Han Bing switched the placement of the fork and knife and went back to her seat. Han Bing's move is extremely cunning. If Qin Shi Ran can actually see everything, then knowing that his utensils are in the wrong place will give him discomfort. His eating behavior will naturally give off the answer to Han Bing's suspicion.

However, Qin Shi Ran picked up his fork and knife and used it elegantly to cut the meat up. The fork is now used as a knife and the knife is used as a fork in Qin Shi Ran's case. Qin Shi Ran continues to eat as if nothing happened.

Han Bing laughed. "Haaa. Qin Shi Ran, when did you realize that I am Doctor Han?"

Qin Shi Ran paused and smiled. He didn't expect Han Bing to expose him. "How did you know that I can see through the mask?"

Han Bing shakes her head. "If you are really blindfolded properly, the fork you are using wouldn't cut through the meat. Even without their sight, people still can tell the dullness of the utensil in their hand. You acted too natural while eating."

Qin Shi Ran took the blindfold off. "Han Bing, I love you." He stared straight into her eyes trying to discern any expression.

Han Bing ignored his words and chewed the steak in her mouth. It's sweet with a hint of sour. Probably from lemon Han Bing thought. She paid no attention to Qin Shi Ran's gaze.

Han Bing roughly knew that Qin Shi Ran had feelings for her, but she never gave him any hints that she had feelings for him too. She never tried to lead him on into thinking that she will return his love.

Qin Shi Ran bit his lip until he tasted blood in his mouth. She still hates him.

Han Bing placed her fork down after taking a few more bite. "I already forgave you."

Qin Shi Ran's eyes brightened. However, her next few words made his heart bleed.

"I don't love you. I never loved you in the past, and I will never love you in the future."

"We haven't started dating yet so you will never know!" Qin Shi Ran angrily shouted.

"I know. It is because I know." Han Bing looked straight into his eyes to show her determination. She will never date Qin Shi Ran.

"I will be leaving China tomorrow morning. The airline ticket is already bought. Let's make the end of our friendship pretty. Yeah?"

"No! I won't agree to this. Nothing has ended. This is only the beginning." Qin Shi Ran's eyes flashed a hint of madness and viciousness. The business world has taken away the last of innocence and pureness of Qin Shi Ran. In order to find Han Bing, he needed greater influence and power. He managed to make the Qin corporation even bigger with ruthless tactics. However, what was left in him was a cold and hollow shell. Just like the hollowness that came when she stepped out of his life.

Han Bing turned around to leave. She doesn't want to argue with Qin Shi Ran even towards the end.

Seeing that Han Bing is determined to abandon him once again, Qin Shi Ran finally ordered. "Surround her!"

Many bodyguards in black came behind the door. They surrounded Han Bing in a strategic position. Han Bing watched the bodyguards coming in. Her unfazed cold gaze shows her confidence in this situation.

"Shi Ran, you haven't learned at all." Han Bing walked to the group of bodyguards. She punched the person directly in front of her. The bodyguards, who didn't expect her to attack, were surprised by her swiftness. However, they quickly regained their calmness. Four bodyguards lunged at her all at once. Han Bing kicked one of them in the stomach while dodging another bodyguard.

Han Bing excitedly smiled. She made a flip and stood on top of another bodyguard's shoulder. The bodyguard tried to shake off Han Bing, but Han Bing twisted his neck before he could make another move.

Han Bing hasn't played like this for a long time. Sweats rolled off her forehead as she made another move. Because of her studies, Han Bing wasn't able to have a refreshing fight with anyone. The only time when she even gets to move a little is when she's beating up thugs, but they're often very weak.

Han Bing continued to fight the neverending bodyguards. Most of them stood up again after getting beaten once.

Qin Shi Ran passionately watched this scene on the side. This is Han Bing. Cold like the freezing winter, but bright like the stars in the sky.
