Ash then turned to the shaman, who was again chanting a spell, the fog appeared again in his hand only this time it was glowing and had formed a ball in his hand. Ash expecting it to be a long-ranged attack, put his sword up, the shaman threw the ball in the sky however it burst in mid-air and a small cloud of green smog formed and it started raining green drops over them, only when the drops touched his skin, they burnt like hot lava, Ash cried and so did the goblins still alive, Ash jumped back as far as he could to get out of the range of the cursed rain. He had taken a lot of damage from it, his whole body was burning wherever he had gotten wet.

The shaman had wanted Ash to get away from him, because the next moment he raised his wand and a big fireball started forming, aimed right at him. Ash had seen before what this thing could do, Ash hadn't done this before, but lately, he had been thinking of ways to use his power, with the lightning steps working, he raised his sword in front of him straight up closed his eyes and started focusing mana into it, it started buzzing with lightning like before, he kept going until it was bright blue and the lightning was sending out big white bolts in the surrounding causing small craters everywhere. He willed all the energy to condense further at the tip of the sword, it was hard work and took a lot of effort, but the shaman was also preparing for a big attack so he had time, as the tip of the sword glowed too bright soon the energy was too dense to be contained inside it and it started coming out of the tip as a ball of white and blue energy, too bright to look at directly, lightning bolts more powerful than ever were blasting out of it and causing loud explosion in the surrounding. Ash aimed the sword at the shaman as the shaman cried and the big fireball blasted towards him. It took some time for Ash to figure out how to fire the electric ball, he cut the flow of mana quickly and pulled the sword back, the ball stayed still suspended in the air for a moment then it shot forward like lightning faster than anything he had seen, it met the fireball much closer to the shaman because of its speed, flames, and blots exploded outwards in a very destructive manner. The shaman was too close to the explosion when a lightning bolt caught him in the chest it was like being hit by lightning falling from the sky, the shaman's heart stopped in an instant and his body was roasted brown and blasted away into the distance.

Ash immediately felt the backlash of using that much mana, he could feel his body starving and trying to suck in more mana from the surrounding air.

"Let's get out of here, this place is going to be swarming with goblins soon," said Maya and helped Ash to get out of the canyons faster, before leaving however Ash stopped for a second to take the red ring from the shaman's corpse. They got back on their trolodytes and headed for the city. It was completely dark by the time they reached the city, Ash was exhausted, hungry, and tired, he wanted to sleep very badly. They headed back to the embassy. Sarah and Hailey were very angry that he had left without telling them. He was really happy when Maya brought him some food in his room and dived in it. 

"Eat up, I have it specially prepared for mana exhaustion, it is not good to be in that state for too long, you need to let your body adjust to your powers a bit more, you are still very young," she said. Ash didn't need telling he ate everything that she brought and then sprawled on his bed and then went to sleep. 

Vanessa was completely naked in her room, she had her breasts pushed together in her hands and were moving them up and down and pleasuring Raymond, who was lying on the bed enjoying. Vanessa had been doing such things for Raymond every day now for the last three days, she knew the task she had given him was big and he needed a little more motivation but three days were enough.

"I have," he said, which made Vanessa look up.

"What is it?" she asked.

"A way to distract the mages away, I can promise you only an hour, you and your friend would have to go in and out very fast, if you are stuck inside I won't be able to help you," he said.

Vanessa stopped what she was doing and stood up.

"It should be fine, when can we do it?" she asked.

"Tonight I suppose but you should think about it again, don't risk your life for your friend," he said.

"I am not that stupid, we'll be in and out before an hour, and if she wants to stay, I'll leave her there," Vanessa had learned over the days that Raymond was the kind of man who only had loyalty to himself, he didn't like organizations and was a man who liked to make his choices based on his interests. Vanessa had decided it would be better to show him that she was like that too, and it had been working. He had started to open up to him much more. 

"Let's continue what we were doing then," said Raymond and lay back down and closed his eyes. 

Vanessa knew that although Raymond thought he was smart, slowly and surely she would have him doing her bidding. She wanted to reward him for doing a good job, so she paid extra attention to him this time, and in a few minutes, he was moaning and orgasming hard in her mouth. Vanessa saw with a glance someone at the window, she saw Emily there hiding behind the window. Vanessa had told Emily what she was doing to get Raymond to help them, Emily had been sneaking to look since then. Vanessa gestured for Emily to enter the room. Raymond was half asleep too drowned in pleasure. Emily entered the room, and Vanessa pulled her on the floor beside her, Emily was staring at Raymond's dick.
