The unification of 2 worlds

The day when the worlds of Murim and traditional fantasy merged will be remembered until the end of times.

People would typically expect that there would be some explanation behind this event, but there wasn't.

Not even the supreme beings of both worlds were able to discern the cause behind this apparent fusion.

The great masters who pursue enlightenment through internal energy (ki), beings close to divinity, saw that overnight the place where the outskirts of traditional Murim were situated now hosted strange inhabitants clad in suits of pure steel plates.

Simultaneously, transcendent beings like archmages and swordmasters saw strange beings cutting down forests with a swing of their swords while their elegant garments fluttered with each fight. Where their not-so-friendly neighbors, the inhumans, once resided, there were now beings with perfectly polished bodies and sharp features.

Looking up at the sky, both strangers realized they were not in their world anymore. Two moons loomed on the horizon at nightfall, bearing no resemblance to any moon they had known before.

The beautiful and unique moon they had taken for granted was replaced by one emitting a red light reminiscent of blood in wars, and another emitting a green light reminding them of the most vibrant of plant life.

Communication was difficult, not only because of the enormous cultural clash but also because their diplomatic methods diverged in many aspects.

In the Central Alliance, which included all orthodox sects believing in the good of others and striving to be just beings, their greed was incomparable to anything seen before.

If any martial artist had the opportunity to acquire a definitive martial art, there was no doubt they would do whatever it took for their own ascension.

The empire wasn't much different; the first emperor built his position through wars, even assassinating a dragon to create his throne.

However, unlike the Central Alliance, which was more of a military association to mediate between the growing conflicts of orthodox sects, the empire was akin to the divine, with strong loyalty to its figure, supported by multiple nobles and advised by thousands of sages.

Year 1400 of the Imperial Calendar.

Year 3400 of the Central Calendar.

Strangely, the fusion occurred in a year marking the beginning of a new century.

The inhabitants of this new world might have thought there was some reason behind that date, but it wasn't long before a war broke out; both sides looked at each other with disdain, each thinking the other was to blame for the situation.

Not even a month had passed since the different worlds merged into one, and the most violent of wars had already erupted.

The Centenary War that the alliance waged against the Celestial Demon Cult paled in comparison.

Meanwhile, the empire hadn't faced a war of such magnitude since its civil war along with an attack by the inhuman kingdom.

The outcome was predictable: millions of civilian lives were lost, along with multiple celestials and transcendent beings.

The transcendent beings underestimated the individual power of the celestials, dismissing them as strange copies of aura masters. The celestials, in turn, underestimated the weak bodies of the so-called mages and their great power to wield mass destruction magic.

After 6 years of intense warfare, the leader of the alliance along with the hero of the empire died.

Thus, both organizations lost their central figures of military authority, and with the death of these symbols, the withdrawal of the great sects, which were the backbone of the alliance, began. The empire, in turn, suffered the desertion of multiple soldiers, along with one of its greatest commanders, the Archduke of Vantrian.

Taking advantage of the weakness of the empire and his legitimacy as the possessor of the royal blood of an ancient emperor, he founded his own country.

With this, a third of the emperor's territory disappeared, and valuable nobles joined the new king of Newoldriann.

The remnants of the great forces decided to sign a peace treaty to quell internal rebellions, thus giving rise to the first use of diplomacy.
