There were twenty-two bedrooms and thirty bathrooms, a game and arcade hall with a bowling alley, an aquarium, a casino, fully functioning bar, pool, a world-class gym, spa, beauty salon, 4k Dolby ATMOS indoor theatre, a glass tube elevator, four gourmet kitchens, six living rooms and rooftop infinity pool overseeing the beautiful blue ocean stretching beyond the horizon with panoramic views and twenty-foot-wide pop-up screen in the main building.
I did not have the strength to tour the whole villa, so I just looked at the scenery from the penthouse, and it was breathtaking.
"I like how it is modern but has timeless features and infuses nature at every turn."
"The original design was by prince Wang. I was obsessed with it, so I took the design from him after he built his house. It also explains the oriental elements you see around."
"The house is a paradise."
"You like my house that much?"
"Fuck, yeah."
"So you would not mind spending some time here?"
"Is that question supposed to be a joke? Who would not?"
"I have a little surprise for you then. Come with me if you don't mind."
"A surprise? What can be more surprising than Samuel Harrison?"
He led us to his ocean view master suite, and it was to die for. I would never have a nightmare on such a bed. He led the way to an adjoining room.
"I had my bedroom office converted to a nursery for when you guys sleep over, and I hope you like it. Let me know if there is anything you would like to change about it, and I will have my assistants attend to it by morning."
The entrance had a sign that reads: welcome to Princess Sammie's room and bow before you enter."
The interior was pink, with exquisite gold detailing, a magnificent royal princess crib and a giant giraffe stuffed animal.
She also had a walk-in closet filled with baby clothes and shoes of her size. Her bathroom was to die for, as it had towels with her initials printed on them.
"Wow. It is perfect for a princess and entirely too fucking much. What did we do to deserve all this?"
What manner of man is this? How do you care this much for people you did not know existed until a week ago? He did not just plan for a weekend. He really wanted us in his life.
A stubborn tear rolled down my face, no matter how hard I tried to keep it in.
"Hey, don't cry. Sam is a princess, and so she deserves the absolute best."
He took me into his arms, and I hugged him back because I did not know how else to express my gratitude.
"I have something else to show you, so follow me."
He took Sam from me because I was a sobbing mess and led us to his walk-in closet.
We walked through an entire field space of the closet and entered a more feminine division.
"I redesigned this and got a few clothes for you, so you do not need to bring things over anytime you have to spend time here."
"When did you even have the time to do all this? How did you even know my sizes and style? No, Sam. It is too much. I am grateful that you would go to this length to accommodate us. But I cannot accept it."
"You can, and you will. This your second home henceforth."
"Why alter your life to this extreme length for us? "
"I made this decision the moment I watched Princess asleep in my arms. I knew you were in my life to stay. I wanted to ask for your permission that day, but I figured you would refuse, so I did it based on faith."
"I am not worth your time, Sam. There is no need for all this."
He cupped my face and spoke to me as if I was a toddler.
"Never, ever doubt that you are worth my time. You are, and you don't have to say anything than accept this because I will not have it any other way."
He kissed my forehead, between my eyes, and the tip of my nose.
Why did you stop? Just go down a little further.
"I care about you, Debs. Get that into your head."
"Thank you so much, Sam."
I was sniffling and wiping my tears.
"You're welcome."
He hugged me, and I hugged him back. I welcomed his warmth, his scent, and his touch. I was at peace. It was an emotion I never thought I would come to feel when I stepped into this overwhelming house. I feel right at home in his arms. My arms tightened around his waist, and his free hand rubbed my back.
Debby, are you still sure about the friendship part? Because you are enjoying his embrace a little too much. Pull yourself together and get out of his arms or consider the friendship line blurred.
I pulled out of his arms and wiped my tears whilst he helped me pull my curls back and carefully shifted stray hairs from my face.
"My best chef prepared a special dinner. We can eat and watch a movie together before I take you home."
"Movie sounds good, but I get to pick what we watch."
"Deal."
"Alright. Let's get comfortable."
