Elvina snapped out of her thoughts as she glanced at Archer who was standing beside the car, holding the car door, ''What do you need it for?" She opened her clutch.
''I'll write my address for you.''
Elvina paused, ''Address?" she tilted her head to look at him.
''Given the way you are standing there, I believe you are going to walk all the way to my place?" He placed his elbow on the car door, looking at her in amusement.
Elvina choked on the air.
''Pfft…''
Elvina could hear the stifled waves of laughter around her.
Turns out these attendants knew how to laugh after all.
But they just laughed because of their Master's despicable sense of humor.
Elvina gritted her teeth as she walked to the other side of the car, carefully holding the basket in her hand.
She narrowed her eyes at Archer. They were not even on talking terms. Why did he have to mock her?
Archer glanced at her nonchalantly. His expression screamed 'Bite me!'
But soon, his expressions shifted slightly, ''Sss..'' his brows tugged together, ''What are you doing?"
Elvina glanced at her heel which was digging in his boots, ''Ah, my bad,'' she hurriedly stepped back from him, not before stomping on his foot properly, ''I'm not good at handling heels, you know.''
''You…'' Archer glanced at her, the intense urge to strangle her dominated his mind.
His gaze shifted to her fair neck which was highlighted in the sweetheart neckline wedding gown that she had donned.
His expressions darkened subtly and he looked into her eyes.
Inhaling a deep breath, he said, ''You don't need to hold this,'' he pointed his chin to the basket in her hand, ''They will handle your stuff carefully.''
Elvina admired how fast he composed himself.
He might've snapped if they were in private but he was just trying to keep his façade right now in public, wasn't he?"
''No need, this is my precious,'' she held the basket closer to her before stepping inside the car.
''Precious..?" Archer closed the car door and walked to the other side, wondering what precious stuff it could be that made her treasure it like that.
It took 30 minutes for them to reach his place.
And as the driver opened the door for her, Elvina alighted the car.
She looked at the place where she will be living in from now on.
The grand paradise-like estate in front of her eyes was called 'Silverton'.
As they reached the door, Elvina looked around the neighborhood, her eyes pausing on another luxurious villa that was on par with Archer's.
''I'll add your fingerprint later.''
The door opened with a 'click'.
Elvina turned to look at him, ''Yes,'' she stepped inside.
Archer followed her.
''I'll show you your room,'' He said, tucking one of his hands inside his pocket.
''Are we not staying together?" Elvina turned around before she stepped towards him, ''You know… we are married after all.''
''No,'' Archer's eyes narrowed.
''I mean… one bed, one room. Not like I will do anything to you,'' she pressed a finger on his chest.
Archer: "_"
After the boring hectic day, Elvina felt rather relaxed after pushing his buttons a bit.
She turned on her heels and walked towards the coffee table before placing the basket on it.
Archer looked at the basket intently. He was curious about what she hid in it for her to treat it so well.
''Gold, wake up now~"
Elvina's tone was so soft and feathery that Archer got goosebumps.
He strode towards the coffee table and looked inside the huge box.
His face switched colors as he watched a big fat white cat sleeping in it.
Elvina delicately stroked the cat's fur, ''Wake up~''
''Don't tell me you are keeping it here?" Archer stepped back from her.
''Of course,'' Elvina glanced at him.
Archer was fond of pets. Fishes, dogs… hell, he'd even raise frogs but not cats.
He detested cats with everything that he had!
When he was 7, a cat scratched his face. When he was 14, a moody stray cat pooped on him and when he was 21, working in the Cardale Empires in a lower position, a fellow staff's cat clawed his presentation to shreds, the one he had worked on for 3 months.
Now that he was 27, he did not expect the cat curse to follow him around.
''Your Gold better not mess with my babies or I will throw both of you out of this house,'' Archer crossed both his arms in front of his chest.
Elvina stopped stroking her cat as she looked around, her gaze landed on the house aquarium on the opposite wall of the living room.
''Oh, Gold is vegetarian," Elvina picked up the cat in her arms. As for throwing them out of the house, she would throw him inside the dungeons if he tried something funny with her.
Archer keenly glanced at the fat cat who looked back at him with his big blue eyes.
Ironically, the fat cat had blue eyes just like its owner.
He looked innocent but that trail of drool betrayed him.
Elvina sneakily covered his drool in his thick fur and flashed a wide 'You can trust us' smile at him.
Archer could feel a headache.
''I'll show you the room,'' he said.
30 minutes later.
As Archer closed his eyes to take a nap, there was another knock on the door.
He sat up on the bed, his brows tugged together.
''Do you think you can get a gold-colored house for Gold? And a cat king-sized bed too…''
He felt his lips twitching when he heard Elvina's words.
The previous time, she knocked to ask for shower gel.
Now, it was a gold house for the cat? But… ''What the heck is a cat king-sized bed?"
''You can get it customized you know.''
''Fine, I'll arrange it tomorrow.''
As he heard the sound of retreating footsteps, Archer leaned back on the headboard of the King-sized bed.
