The Silver Esper [Stopped]

[Mature content] There are depictions of violence/gore and abuse towards characters. There is also swearing as well in this story. __________________________________________________________________ People with abilities, powers of which normal humans can not use. Monster's, freaks, people have called those with these abilities with such names, but there is one name that became attached to them eventually, Esper. The strongest of all abilities is physic, an ability that makes nearly anything possible for a skilled user. Sent to another world similar to her original she lives as Avalon Kanze a girl with rocky blood relations. Living in a country that didn't exist in the other world Niahurii, she is forced by her blood relations to join the military as a man. Unwilling, but the deal they strike is the only reason for her doing so. Avalon's lazy days in the military begin to change when that man appeared. Plans begin to change, new conflicts and allies begin to arrive. Can she keep her identity a secret or will they learn the truth? But most of all can she keep her darkest secret, the truth about her 'disease' and condition from everyone. __________________________________________________________________ "I can't believe they are forcing you to do this just to cut ties with them. How ridiculous since they've never treated you like family." "There is nothing I can do but to do this... as a man. On the bright side, we get to see the inner works of things here so we can use the useful points." "How can you be so optimistic when they are sending you to a suicide unit." "I've already died once and experienced true hell on earth. This is honestly child's play in comparison. So I see no reason to be afraid." Avalon sighed as she tightened the bandage around her chest. "Besides this world is behind in comparison. My ability will ensure I survive. So don't worry once it's all said and done. We will no longer stand for them. I will change this world from my 'home'. So dear brother be ready for the 2nd coming of Raijia's Silver Esper."

Stopping By

To get to the mess hall they had to go past the main field. Avalon looked over at the main field and didn't see anyone on the field. 'They must be training else were then. I hope Tor doing alright… his physical abilities are just above average for a human and he is very fast. Sigh, I'm sure he'll be fine. I'm defiantly in more danger of getting the boot since when comparing to the others I'm fairly weak when restricting myself to human capabilities Even though I'm fast the one things that I'm really good at is evasion and things with intellect since that is not restricted to the physical body.' Avalon sighed with a neutral expression. As she continued following her captain she looked around a little and notice someone near the gate.

The person at the gate notice the two of them and came over. "Roa-n!" They exclaimed Ava turned her head and could tell who it was and quickly ran over to them.

"Shane!" Roan exclaimed racing over to her brother. She begun to hug him right away. "I haven't seen you in a while Shane." Roan huffed looking at Shane. Shane's taller than Avalon by 20cm forcing her to look up at him a little. His bark blue hair was shinning slightly and his violet eyes looking down at his twin sister he wore a pleasant smile. He placed his hand on his sisters head and begun to ruffle her hair.

"I'm sorry that I haven't been able to see you lately things kept coming up." Shane told her with a slight smile.

Ava looked like a dog with her tail wagging as she was with her brother looking up at him with shining eyes. "It's okay Shane. I am older than you remember. I know you are normally busy with your unit so it's alright." Roan huffed puffing her chest out slightly.

"Pff. Right right. How could I forget. But when you were younger-"

"Aaah! Shut up don't you dare talk about that!" Roan exclaimed her voice wavering slightly making her voice sound normal for a brief moment. "PLEASE don't talk about that in public. Especially here Shane, I'll die of embarrassment." Roan squeaked glaring at him slightly though Shane just started laughing.

"BGen Liman, what are you doing here?"

"Ah LGen Haas, you're here as well."

'That captain's last name's Haas? This could either be a good or bad thing. But according to Shane he doesn't have that bad a relationship with the captain. The Liman family and the Haas family are two high classed families in Niahurii that work in the military. The two families don't necessarily have best relationship partly due to that.' Avalon muttered looking at the two.

"Yes, I came to see my twin brother. I thought since it was probably near lunch we could eat together."

"Ah! You're going to have lunch with me Shane? We haven't got to do that for a few years. Though I'm more than pleased that you wish to have lunch with me something tells me that is not all."

"Ah. I've been caught, though coming to see brother is the main reason I learned something last night that you need to be aware of."

"Last night…" Roan muttered looking at Shane a little surprised. 'I meet with him last night so he must have learned this information after I left.' Avalon thought. "What is it?"

"…" Shane looked over at Lukas not sure if he should say it.

"…"

"I know that captain's here but… there will be more people if we go anywhere else Shane. So it is best just to say it now. So what is it? Did something happen at home… or something else?"

"The family's learned about you becoming a recruit for LGen Haas' s.o.f unit." Shane sighed and Avalon face became pale.

"T-they found out already. I was hoping to be a little further in before they learned of this. D-did they say anything to you?" Roan stuttered clenching her fist.

"I haven't heard anything. But you'll need to be careful alright. Don't do anything stupid."

"Yeah anymore that I've already done. Can you do your best at keeping them from coming after me Shane please." Roan muttered in a pleaded voice.

"I can't do much… Father probably won't do anything, and I can stop our younger brother from causing you problems for about a month. But with our older brother, I can't give you any promises I don't have much power over him so, I can't stop him from coming here."

"… okay that's better than nothing. I know I'm asking a lot from you Shane."

"It's alright." Shane muttered as he smoothed Avalon black hair down. "Now let's get something to eat. Your probably really hungry after last night." He sighed.

"… I am but don't phrase it like that. It makes it sound as if I was doing something bad." Roan groaned slumping her shoulders in exasperation since she was aware that her captain (Lukas) was listening to their conversation.

"What is this about?" Lukas asked his arms crossed looking at the twins standing in front of him.

"Well, my brother has an odd condition that can't really be explained."

"You saw it last night sir. How I was very pale and had trouble walking. It doesn't happen all that often."

"About every 2 months."

"It's not like I'm defenceless or anything. But... well after it happens the next morning I need something to eat."

"If he doesn't get something to eat before lunch he'll pass out."

"It can be something small I just need to eat 3 times the day after."

"Does anyone know of this?"

"No, it's a guarded secret only a few people know of it. Ah so don't say anything it can't be treated. Though even if you tell anyone Lukas you won't be able to prove it."

"Tsk... Does it happen without warning?"

"No, it's set. I normally keep track of it. But it's been hectic lately that I lost track."

"Does your family know of this?"

"Aside from myself no one else in the Liman family is aware of this. Which we are going to keep it that way."

"Yes since this started when I was 4."

"Yes after you disappeared."

"Yeah.." Roan replied with a listless tone looking away slightly. That time was before 'she' had a name, that incident changed 'her' life forever which lead things to this point. Lukas had a slight look of surprise. He was aware of Avalon's family and her disappearing would not be something that happened especially without other people being aware of the incident.

"Let's stop talking about such things I'm sure you are busy. So let us go get something to eat."

"Kay!" Roan replied with a pleased tone and a slight smile.
