Formulating a plan to expose Ntshaka's deceit to Umfundisi, Dumisa simulated sleep that night, vigilantly observing Ntshaka. As anticipated, Ntshaka revisited the pantry, consuming all the winter's store of meat. At dawn, Dumisa awakened Umfundisi, leading him to the pantry where they discovered Ntshaka, satiated and drowsy, amidst the remnants of the feast.
