The mother is furious and makes Haruki leave her home.

Rei looked at Haruki as she walked with him to his house.

Complete silence from Haruki. Not a peep came from his mouth. And he breathed so silently but softly. You couldn't hear a thing…

'Maybe he's in pain…' Rei thinks to herself.

Haruki finally breathes in hard, "You can stay with me from now on. Your mother knows your dead and can't see you. I can, so you can stay here and live with me. We'll still go to school together and I'll get things ready for you. I have a spare room so you can use that one for the mean time until I get your room ready for you to use." Haruki looks and Rei and smiles but not wide or happily. He looks sad.

Rei's heart sinks in her stomach as she nods.

"Okay thank you Haruki…"

Haruki trudges to his room and closes the door lightly then goes to the bathroom. 'Why did I have to like someone that is dead? We go to a yokai/ human school so it makes sense she's dead. But why didn't I notice sooner?' Haruki turns on the water for a shower and steps in.

The water drips down his body and drowns his hair wet. Warm and steamy as the water is hugging his body.

Once Haruki is done with his shower he puts on clothes then walks to Reis room.

"So you can use the shower if you want to. I'm not going to permit you to do anything. I'm barely home as I stay with my friends sometimes but I'll come home from now on to keep you company. We can walk to school together and walk home if you want to. Or we can drive, whatever you are comfortable with."

Rei looks up at Haruki's fresh face.

"Thank you. For everything. I'm sorry I didn't know. I would've told you if I did. I'm so sorry." Rei starts tearing up and she starts to look down. The weight on her chest feels deeper than before. The confusion and the most pain she has felt. The emotions flowing through her body that she doesn't know if she should have.

Haruki walks to Rei and holds her in his arms.

"It'll be okay. Im right here with you. Every step of the way. We're family now so don't worry about anything." Haruki grazes his fingers through her hair and kisses her head gently as she is buried in his chest.

Haruki holds her until she stops crying.

"Would you like to eat something? Or just rest?" Haruki smiles and pulls away from Rei.

"I would like to rest please." Rei wipes her eyes and sits back.

"Okay I'll let you rest." Haruki gets up from the bed then walks to the door and closes it softly.

'I will protect her from now on. And I know what that means. But I will do it.' Haruki goes into his room and lays down.

He then falls asleep soundly as he is tired from the long day.

*Sun beaming*

"It's morning already?" Haruki groans and turns around. He stuffs his face into the blanket.

*SIGH* "I need to get up and go to the gym or run. I need to do something…" Haruki gets out of bed and puts on shorts.

He then walks out of the room and Rei was sitting on the couch in-front of the Tv.

"Oh.. I'm sorry. I'll go put on a shirt." Haruki glances at Rei surprised.

Rei starts to blush as she hasn't seen anyone look like him before. 'I have to live with this person from now on. I should learn to get comfortable.' Rei thinks as she buries herself in a plushie that she brought from her room.

Haruki then comes back from his room.

"Ah I see you found my stash of plushies. You can use them as you please. I have 4 on my bed already so you can use as many as you want." Haruki laughs.

Rei doesn't realize she has already made herself at home.
