The Battle Of The Sages(1)

The sound of metal clash against one another resounded in the very quiet battlefield, Kentaro and Hashirama were fighting for about five minutes.

During those five minutes, they have made no use of Ninjutsu nor Genjutsu. They were measuring each other with their weapons.

Kentaro discovered that Hashirama was on par with his speed and power with his Sage Mode activated.

Kentaro swung his staff down, Hashirama dashed to the left and punched Kentaro in the face. His blade was coming for Kentaro's neck.

The blade struck Kentaro's neck. To Hashirama's great surprise, the blade trembled, he felt it to his hands.

It didn't cut through, it was repelled by Kentaro's extremely hard and solid skin. Kentaro punched Hashirama's chest and made him fall to the ground.

Seeing that Hashirama was holding his chest in pain, Kentaro kicked him in the face. The powerful kick decapitated Hashirama's wood clone.

Kentaro widened his eyes in surprise, Hashirama swiftly appeared behind him. The pointy end of his big blade managed to penetrate into Kentaro's back.

"You shouldn't have threatened Konoha, Kentaro." Kentaro turned his head around and looked at Hashirama in shock.

Blood was coming out of his mouth, Hashirama pulled his blade out and looked at Kentaro holding his wound.

"You should've taken care of Madara as a Hokage." Kentaro turned to mud, Hashirama didn't expect it to be a mud clone.

He turned his head to the right and saw the real Kentaro forming a multitude of hand seals, he was preparing an attack.

'Fire Style: Burning Sea Jutsu!' the flames were hotter than common flames, they formed a raging sea of flames.

'Water Style: Water Wall Jutsu!' a current of water came out of Hashirama's mouth and extinguished the flames.

It was a first for Kentaro, he had never seen Hashirama use another thing than wood style. He ran through the smoke and jumped high in the air.

Hashirama looked up and saw Kentaro's figure coming down on him, he noticed that Kentaro's hand gave a sort of blue hue.

"Lightning Style: Lightning needle Jutsu!" from Kentaro's hand, ten needles made out of lightning howled though the air towards Hashirama.

Hashirama jumped successively left and right and dodged the ten needles, Kentaro had a smile on his face. He formed a few hand seals and landed on the mud, he entered his whole fist in the mud.

"Lightning Style: Lightning Chamber Jutsu!" the needles had formed a circle around Hashirama, they created a sort of barrier around him and electrocuted him.

"AAAAHHHHHH!" Hashirama was in pain, he had to quickly find a way out of the lighnting barrier. With great difficulty, he managed to form hand seals.

A wooden spear came out of the mud and pierced Kentaro's shoulder, making him fall down. The lightning barrier stopped and Hashirama jumped out towards Kentaro.

"Wood Style: Wood Prison Jutsu." pillars erected around Kentaro to finally form a prison, Kentaro was confused.

'Why would he imprison me inside, this can't contain me and he knows it himself.' Kentaro suddenly felt something weird.

The wooden pillars that created the prison started to slowly drain Kentaro's natural energy, doing this for a prolonged period of time would deactivate his Sage Mode.

'I need to get out of this prison!' Kentaro opened his hands, the golden staff flew to him but was stopped by a wooden hand that came out of one of the pillars.

"Tch!" Kentaro joined his hands together, his body started inflating like a balloon. Hashirama had a very surprised expression on his face, he decided to take his distances.

Kentaro became so inflated that the pillars were slowly cracking. They suddenly broke and Kentaro's body exploded.

Enormous amounts of lava were sent everywhere, Hashirama saw Kentaro's flying figure between all that lava.

Three lava dragons took Hashirama's attention, they came at him with an enormous speed. The dragons opened their mouth when they were close to Hashirama.

"Wood Style: Wooden Dragon Jutsu!"

Out of the ground, three wooden dragons came out and immediately faced the lava dragons and they destroyed each other.

Kentaro had split himself into two, each of his halves formed hand seals. They prepared a jutsu each.

"Mud Style: Jigoku!" the lava entered the mud and the area it affected only grew bigger, the whole place had truly turned to complete mud.

Hashirama who was running in the mud was stopped, mud hands were pulling on his legs and trying to bring him down.

"Mud Style: Emma-ō!" Hashirama stopped moving for a few seconds, he looked at the surrounding mud creating that massive figure.

"It's the same monster as the Genjutsu." Hashirama recognized that judge's cap and mace, the devilish face looked down on him with a devilish grin.

The other half stopped holding the hand sign, the mud hands dissappeared. Kentaro only wanted to create Emma-ō without distraction that's why he used Jigoku to impede Hashirama while Emma-ō formed.

The other half joined back with Kentaro, he jumped down and landed on his feet. Kentaro entered his hand inside of Emma-ō's foot.

"Hashirama! I can give you another chance, take care of Madara!" Kentaro was trying to make Hashirama talk while he filled Emma-ō with lava.

Hashirama ran towards Kentaro, he was not dumb. Seeing that his attempt of distraction was a big failure, Kentaro could only hope that the amount of lava would be enough.

Hashirama swung his blade at Kentaro, but it was too late. Kentaro had entered inside of Emma-ō, he was traveling to the judge's cap from the inside.

Emma-ō kicked Hashirama far away, he readied himself to battle. The two mud pillars grew besides him, the heads on them were crying for help.

Hearing and seeing this enraged Hashirama, he landed on his back and stood back up. He clapped his hands.

"Wood Style: Deep Forest Emergence!" the trees came out of the ground and stopped halfway in the battlefield.

"Wood style: Wooden Golem Jutsu!" the golem grew out of the trees, the wooden dragon coiled over his shoulders.

The battlefield had been split into two, a part was filled with mud and lava and the other part was filled with trees.

Emma-ō walked forward and so did the wooden golem, the golem threw a punch at Emma-ō.

The mud giant dodged it and swung its mud mace at the wooden golem, before impact it hardened. When it struck the wooden golem, the mud mace broke and lava spilled everywhere on the wooden golem.

"ROOOAAAAAAAR!"
