How to fight

Missed, by a few centimetres, Laurel lunged at Oswald, aiming at the hand in which he held the longsword. His accuracy was diminished by the dust he lifted earlier.

Oswald's leg came in the way as his knee hit the flat of the broadsword. The risks of getting a cut were low because of how blunt were their old weapons, but they were not zero.

Laurel was reluctant to lose the confrontation because he wasn't able to surpass Oswald's sporting feats. He backed off before lunging forward anew, he used the momentum of the hit to rotate and blind the next place his blade would surge from.

He shown his back to his opponent, between his armpit and shield, the sword's tip passed next to Oswald's hand once more.

Having no knowledge about the weapon's many uses, Oswald chose to swing it either horizontally or vertically. The simple moves were all distractions for his other hand to grab his adversary. It was Ward's first time seeing someone wielding a longsword effortlessly, with one hand.
