A star that shined brighter than any others

[Soul is abnormally dense]

[Mind is meta human]

[Body is malnourished]

[Bodily faults - mute, Anemic]

These words flashed across the screen alongside a certain white haired tiny child.

George stared at the data being presented to him in a mixture of awe and envy.

The picture of the boy was provided alongside data which was rarely seen as his time as a scholar before he was a researcher.

Shaking his head, George thought.

'It doesn't matter how envious I feel.'

Shaking his head, he instantly changed his thought process of how envious he was of the first three talents.

Especially the slum rat he had bought at a low price.

Turning his thoughts of how envious those talents were, he computerized the data and thought about how to quickly exploit the talent for his own benefit.

'...Well first things first.'

Pressing a button, he instantly had several machines begin fabricating a chemical, soul binding reagent that would increase the density and power of the soul.

Alongside the reagent, he would add a few other additives that would ensure viscosity of the soul when he applies the power which would brand the soul themselves.

For the final touch however... he hesitated for a moment before pressing a button which would add an experimental reagent that would quickly provide a boost in power at the cost of instability.

'...Let's just make them incredibly strong.'

Making sure that the correct dosage would be administered to the children, he turned his attention to the flaws they all had.

'Bodily flaws, heh, never knew they had two at such a young age'

It made sense though, without harsh faults which would increasingly hinder certain actions as time went, the world would become an incredibly unfair place if power without weakness was everywhere.

Having those thoughts, he smiled manically as he finally got the results that he desired.

Never mind the numerous batches of failed results which numbered even more than the breaches which dotted the planets exosphere.

It was only these three results which proved successful and affirmed the insane man that he was on the right path.

"Since their loyalty is all but guaranteed, I better get ready to optimize the reagents."

Turning to the reagents which were responsible

Without realizing it, he had lost his purpose of finding a way to provide normal people a way to awaken their soul.

Ignoring the possibility of being accepted back into the Einstein family while being blinded by the desire to form an army so powerful and loyal, that his deluded dream of sovereignty rang out within his mind.

And unbeknownst to him, a small mechanical spider stared right at his hairy scalp, the camera within focusing on the data being presented on the screens.

---

"We Have Located the target people! Get ready to leap for the spatial gap!"

Above ground in the city of steel and glass.

Several people in streamlined, mechanical suits quickly prepared their equipment, holding large guns which would blow out any other persons arm in unison as they got to their respective places and formed a square.

Manipulating large floating screens, a man with a red visor shouted loudly to the people who were equipping themselves in front of him.

Closing the floating screens, the man stood on a podium while eyeing the soldiers in mechanical attire.

"Now as a reminder! What is our purpose!"

"We are to serve the city and to rid it of the cancer that plague it!"

"And what type of cancers plague our beautiful city!?"

"Monster Breaches! Villainous Criminals! And Low Life Deserters!"

"Good! And what are we Hunting now!?"

"Villainous Criminals!"

"Good!"

The man nodded in satisfaction as he brought the blue screens back up before nodding to the woman besides him.

"Open the rift."

"Opening the rift! All units on standby!"

Clasping her hands together in a prayer formation, the woman had sweat bead her forehead as she eyed the blue screen in front of her depicting an empty stone cave.

Unclasping her hands and flinging her arms outwards, the very space in front of her seemingly cracked in unison with the one that appeared on the screen.

Seeing that the portal had opened, the red visored man nodded and shouted. "Steel Guards! Set forth into the portal and acquisition the target!"

The red visor seemed to blink as it revealed the brown eyes behind it.

"Target Designation! George Einstein!"

---

"Group 1 back off and reload! Group 2 move up and lay cover fire!"

In the deep cave network which was located deep underneath the steel frame of the city, several creatures made their nests there while George Einstein borrowed their deterrence to hide himself.

The problem was that he had been discovered.

Seeing the monsters which made their nests there, the steel guards cursed their hearts out to whoever was the one to create the space warping technology which stopped them from jumping straight into the heart of the base.

Laser Rifles blared to life as the circular guns fired continuous beams of plasma straight at the enemies which converged onto their position.

The chitinous monsters which had dug their ways into the stone network and were covered in the same stone which made the walls stood no chance.

Opening their jaws capable of tearing into steel, it made no difference under the laser rifles which melted their armor all the same.

And with the front line backing off to recharge and cool down their energy based weapons which was made obvious by an orange shade, the monsters which could only helplessly take the fiery greeting took this chance as their time.

Taking the brief gap as a moment of weakness, the beasts burst forwards with a renewed fury, the metal scythes for legs digging into the stone as they propelled their wrathful masters forwards.

The problem was that it was only a momentary lapse and the distance between them was anything but small.

Charging past the monsters which were helplessly pushed back underneath the covering fire, the group moved past the series of tunnels which served as the only bastion between them.

And the mad scientists lab.

Stepping foot into an area where a semblance of architecture lay, the steel guards appointed captain started to bark orders.

"You know the drill Group 3! Search for survivors and destroy and enemies!"

"Yes Sir!"

"Groups 1, 2 and 4! Follow me! We're going to bust that bastard!"

As a portion of the 20 steel guards split off from the main group, the rest of the 16 left charged forwards.

"Change to Shock pistols people, and Set to non-lethal! The head wants that Einstein alive!"

---

Waking up from his slumber, Glitch quickly realized a change had occurred in his body and out of it.

The most noticeable one was the fact that the collars around his neck, ankles and wrists had been removed to reveal deep burnt scars.

'To that sadistic bastards liking no doubt.'

The other, also as noticeable one was the fact that he could feel the strange, suffocating feeling which plagued the back of his neck had disappeared.

'Which means that the faults mute is gone, probably alongside that anemia.'

The final difference that he felt was also the most subtle.

'An increase in strength.'

All the way from the bone to the muscles and the organs, every single part of the body but the nerves had been strengthened through various concoctions.

'That also includes the soul'

Feeling the subdued power resting in his soul, just waiting to be used Glitch nodded to himself.

'Actually? Isn't this around the time when-'

His thoughts were immediately cut short when an explosion rocked the facility, the lights above him flickering underneath the force of the blow as dust slowly fell from the ceiling.

Stumbling, Glitch stared at the ceiling before snapping his to a certain hallway and began immediately moving.

'Pyro and Cryo were also here if I recall it right.'

Navigating through the halls, the explosions slowly faded into the distance as he relied on his memory to find the two girls.

The problem was its been twenty odd years since he was last here, and all memories in this place had been purposefully purged by Glitch.

So, as he searched, he went away from the explosions and went through the empty rooms one by one.

It wasn't the most efficient, but it was the most effective given the circumstances and it did its job well.

"Pyro! Cryo!"

He had found the twins as they stared at him with a bewildered gaze.

---

"It'll be fine sister, it's at least better than at home."

"Yeah... It is better than being at home at least."

A pair of girls around the ages of six and seven huddled together as they consoled each other over the circumstances of their current situation.

They belonged to the renowned family of Vesuvius which was known for their Ancestors past of overturning the coliseum dedicated to one of the Seven deadly sins Wrath and freeing all of the unwilling gladiators there.

And as people of the renowned family, they had lived good lives compared to most under the care of the family.

The problem was what accompanied that good life.

What many knew about the family was that it was incredibly competitive with other lineages and usually incited competitions with other families due to their lineage.

What many didn't know however was that the competitiveness extended inwards as well.

So as they lived a good life, it wasn't one without stress as one couldn't know when one of their family members parents would suddenly see them as a threat and would send assassins to cripple their siblings.

The problem was that was exactly just what happened, only, instead of crippling the two children and preventing them from participating in the lineage acceptance ritual...

They were kidnapped and thrust into a series of painful experiments that dredged up a series of bad memories.

And if there was anything to be grateful about in their situation.

They were at least worry free that they would suddenly die and disappear from the mortal plane.

As the girls comforted each other, an unknown boy slammed the door opened and shouted.

"Pyro! Cryo!"

Jolting at the unknown cry from an unknown boy shouting at unknown names, they stared fearfully at the boy which burst into the room, unaware of the change of fate they would soon be facing.
