A disrupted bond

[Luciel's POV]

I was just sitting comfortably in a chair in front of a stage. All around me were other students who were just waiting for the director to come and tell us that the simulation was about to start, but that might take a while

The lights were dimmed while the chairs had a large red leather upholstery which made them very comfortable

A few spotlights shone on the stage but no one was standing there

I leaned my head on my hand boredly and saw next to me but all I saw were empty seats

Nobody sat there

I... was all alone

The others sat further forward I glanced at them several times but Cale and satul still seemed uncomfortable no idea why

The only one who looked at me was Sarah, but she too was a little confused, but something was different

'That... kinda hurts' I thought to myself

It kind of gave me a strange emptiness to see something like that, but I can't do anything

However, I am all alone

And I always was...

At least that's what I thought "Is there still room?"

I checked where the voice was coming from and there I saw a boy about my own height with ocean blue hair and dark green eyes and a handsome face wich could rival cale but but something about him makes him a little more "unnoticable"

He had an undercut and his hair was rather wild, but it suited him well

He looked me straight in the eye and pointed to the seat next to me

"Nathan?... sure sit down" I said and so he sat down on my right side

However, an awkward silence fell over us

And after a while he was the one who wanted to break it "what... about your friends"

I was surprised and looked at him "Friends?" i asked him with a puzzeld expression

"Yes I mean Sarah Cale and satul why aren't they with you?" He seemed confused but I was too to be honest

"…. I don't know…. Something's weird at the moment though." That was all I could say as an answer

and this time it was me who asked a question "why did you sit next to me?" i was genuinly suprsied that he would even sit next to me since our last converstion wasnt that good

"There was no other place," he simply answered wich i didnt belive there are hundreds of other seats but i didnt bother trying to ask again

And after that we continued to sit in silence

I looked around a bit and noticed that many of the others were looking at me with some sort of disdain it got on my nerves ever since the fight with drake and when i beat up the bullys weird rumors started to spread my guess is it was those bullys who started it but even before it wasnt the best

at first i just ignored it but when i heard what those rumors are about i was really angry

these rumors say stupid stuff like i bully all the other races and beat up almost everyone who slightly annoys me also that i am a simp for lucy and try to get closer to her like a creep not only that there was a rumor that i kicked a cat.... well i once thought of kicking wain... but i didnt do it he just annoyed me sometimes but i wouldnt do that

I closed my eyes hoping to get some sleep but I heard footsteps

Steps that sounded very delicate and came closer and closer

I didn't open my eyes though, thinking someone was just walking by

But I was wrong this person sat next to me

I opened my eye a little and saw a beautiful girl with raven hair, her beautiful white skin that was radiant without any impurity, her mysterious beautiful black eyes that captivated me

And her attractive figure, which wore the unform of our class, but unlike me, who wore a sweater vest, she wore a black blazer with a checkered skirt

She looked at me with her black eyes but said nothing

I just looked to the other side where Nathan was staring at me

'Fucking shit why are you both staring at me like that?' I just thought

As I continued to look more in Nathan's direction, that seemed a little more comfortable

But he looked at me a little surprised

But then looked next to me and saw Lucy

He seemed surprised but then started grinning like an asshole and looked away from me

"…. you fucking asshole what are you thiniking" i whispered in his direction but he didnt answer

However, instead of staying in this awkward situation, I decided to sleep

I closed my eyes and tried not to think about what was happening, but a very pleasant smell hit my nostrils

It smelled like vanilla 'Fuck I can't sleep'

I was too nervous to fall asleep and the sad thing is that this has never happened to me before 'am I nervous about the simulation or what?' that was the only thing that came to mind

but I ignored it and tried to sleep

[2 weeks ago]

three students were sitting together in one of the three's room

It was Cale Satul and Sarah

Cale sat in his chair while the other two sat side by side on the bed

The atmosphere surrounding the three was uncomfortable, like a heavy anvil was sitting on them

The only one who doesn't know why is Sarah

She asked several times why both of them were upset lately but they couldn't bring themselves to tell her

But they wanted to change that

"Sarah..." satul looked over at her nervously about what he's about to do

She just looked at him with a frown "yeah, what is it?" it asked, finally hoping for clarity

Satul opened his mouth but Cale answered instead of him "You noticed that since Luciel's panic attack we've been a little 'different'"

She just nodded and continued listening

"We saw something about him... and we don't want to tell you without his permission..." He looked down and laced his fingers, squeezing tighter, "but we feel we both need a little distance from him...."

"Why that, what could have happened that bad?" she asked with a frown

"As I said, we can't tell you," this time Satul answered, "but we want a little distance until we can arrange everything together-" But before he could finish his sentence, Sarah interrupted him

"You're just pussys" she stood up and she looked at them angrily "just because you found out something about him you don't have to react like that he's not stupid not to notice that something is wrong"

"..." the two couldn't prove anything, so even they didn't know why they needed distance

They were both confused about him it's true that these four have an odd bond and it would be a lie if someone said they didn't notice it because after all there's no point in becoming friends after just one conversation

But Sarah didn't understand what could happen to disrupt this "bond".

"It... isn't that easy to explain." Cale wanted to explain it to her but he didn't know what words to use

"Okay, we'll go to him and talk about it." Sarah was sure that she couldn't just leave it at that

She walked out and the two boys came along, a little nervous and confused but also hopeful that things would get better

But along the way, they met a certain student

He stopped in front of three friends and then locked them away

He had blond hair that seemed like gold it was long and tied back his eyes were literally the color yellow and his skin was white without any form of impurity

He looked like an angel some would say

And they wouldn't be that far off

He is the hero of the current era and also the hero who got the most power from the goddess of light which means the catastrophe of the current era must be stronger than ever

His gaze looked at the three of them and seemed stoic

"Where are you going?" he asked the three

They all didn't answer it was weird and awkward because after all Luciel kicked him in the face when they were training together

Of course it wasn't their fault and it wasn't a bad thing since it was a training match but it was still a bit brutal

"We just want to clarify something" Sarah was the only one who said something and walked on

But she was stopped. Drake held her arm

Cale and satul both wanted to do something but before they could do anything Drake told them something

"he is dangerous"
