Chapter 4: foodfight

Diane:

"How was class?" Holly asks excitedly as I approach her by our lockers

"Annoying" I said with pure anger laced in my voice

"What happened?" She said

"Well I couldn't find my homeroom then I almost bumped into someone. He kept screaming even when I didn't even hit him. Then, I finally found my homeroom and some brett kept throwing paper balls at me throughout the entire class."

"Wait a second did you say Brett? As in Brett Wilson?" She asked shocked

"Yeah. He's more annoying than I thought" I said rolling my eyes

"Oh no this is bad" she said pacing back and forth

"Calm down. I didn't do anything stupid" I said

"After all my warnings!!" She screamed in a worried tone

"Well I didn't know it was him at first. So it's not my fault" I said in my defense

"Just be careful okay. He's bad news" she said with concern

"Got it. But the rest of the classes were cool because he wasn't in any of them. Ooh and I met this girl Ariel in math" I said shoving my books into my locker

"Which Ariel?" Holly asked

"Ariel Benson" I said

"Oh no" Holly said with a faceplam

What is up with her??

"What's wrong?"

"That's one of the school's weirdos" she said

"First of all, Ariel is super nice and how are you even memorizing the weirdos of the school's names" 

"Excuse me for not wanting to let my innocent cousin from ruining her life in highschool" she said with a huff

"But what's wrong with being her friend?" I asked to defend Ariel

"If you're seen with a weirdo, you are a weirdo" Holly explained

"That doesn't even make any sense!. I like Ariel and I don't care what other people say" I said crossing my arms around my chest

"Let's just go to lunch" she said as she led the way to the cafeteria

I nodded and together we made our way to the cafeteria. We were walking to an empty table, when they were people whispering and staring at us. Well me.

"I feel so bad for her" someone was said

"Why should she do that" another voice said

"I'm glad someone finally stood up to him anyway" another person said

We finally made it to the table and and I took out my lunch from my book bag.

It was a grilled chicken sandwich.

"Brb" I said as I got up and went to the lunch line. I bought a bottled water and headed back to our table.

Everyone's eyes were still on me.

Great. I muttered as I continued walking

My eye caught a particular table where all the guys there were wearing a football outfit, and the girls in cheerleader outfits.

Definitely the popular table.

Sighing, I walked back to the table and found holly sitting down alone.

"I hate being the center of attention. And it's only my first day!" I said honestly

"Just calm down, it'll die down before next week" she said smiling comfortingly. But I know she was only saying that to make me feel better

"Hey ladies" Ben said as he dumped his tray of spaghetti on the table

"Hey" I said sadly

"Hi" holly said sipping her pepsi

"Soo there's this rumour going around the school that some girl stood up to Brett" ben said excitedly

"Oh no" I said faceplaming

Looks like I'm now the topic of the rumor mill. Just great

"Wait that was you?!" Ben asked surprised

"Yes, unfortunately" I said drinking my bottled water

"Wow. And it's your first day!!" He said shaking his head

"Don't make it worse Ben" Holly said as she shot a glare at him

"Whatever" he said taking a bite of his spaghetti

"Oh.. my.." Holly said in shock

"Wha.." I said but I was cut off by a warm substance rolling off my back

I let out a shriek and turned around to find a smirking Brett Wells pouting a plate of soup on me

"Oh my God" I screamed angrily

"oops" "my bad" he said sarcastically

I didn't think for a second before grabbing Ben's spaghetti and rubbing it all over his shirt

"What the??!" He said and grabbed something else to hit me but I dodged it and it hit someone else

"What the heck?? Who threw that!??" A person shouted

"FOOD FIGHT!!!" Ben screamed and In a split second food was flying across the cafeteria.

Me, Ben and holly hid under a table. I peeked out and the cafeteria looked like a war zone

Instead of guns and tanks, it was food and instead of dead bodies lying around everywhere, it was people sliding and slipping

Holy crap. What have I done ??

I got pelted with food as I tried to make my way through the door. But Brett came in front of me before I could make my escape

"Where do you think you're going?" Brett asked with a sinister tone

"Just leave me alone Brett" I said with gritted teeth

"Oh you can't leave without a present" he said smiling evily

"What are you talking about??" I said trying to dodge some more flying foods

He smirked taking a gross combination of food and dumping it on my head for the second time today.

"You jerk!!" I screamed

And the worst part was... All he did was smirk

I was beyond furious. I looked down at my clothes and they were filled with a bunch of stains and don't get me started on my hair

"Stop!!" A man's voice boomed through the entire cafeteria.

My head whipped up to the source of the scream. Students froze dropping the food they were holding.

"Who started this???" The small bald man said as he walked into the messy cafeteria

And everyone pointed to Brett and I

Traitors

"Both of you. In my office NOW!!" He said then Brett and I silently followed the bald man out of the cafeteria
