The Beginning

A girl, around 10 was brushing her teeth before getting ready to go to school, when she noticed her reflection was seconds behind her. It was just spitting in the sink when she had already turned off the sink. She stared at her reflection. It stared back at her. Then something flickered in the corner of her eye and she swiftly turned to see what it was. There was nothing there. She sighed. Walking out of her bathroom, she went to her closet and grabbed a pink sweater and some jeans with a pink heart on it. She got dressed and brushed her hair, heading downstairs. When she got into the kitchen her mother lovingly beamed "Good morning, Delia! How was your sleep?" Delia replied "Good! What is for breakfast mom?" Her mother put a plate down in front of Delia that had waffles and berries with whipped cream on it, while telling her "Waffles, sweetie! Enjoy!" Delia gobbles down her waffles and chugs a glass of orange juice. Cleaning up her dishes she grabs her backpack and heads to the door. "Bye, mom! I'm on my way to school!" Delia yells. "Ok, sweetie! Bye, have a good day!" When Delia got to school, she told her friends what she had seen. Her friends just told her that is was her imagination. Delia knew it wasn't her imagination. She felt it in her gut. During reading time, she seen another flicker out the corner of her eye. She peered in the direction she seen the flicker. All that was there was a wooden rocking chair that creaked when it moved. She continued reading her book, not knowing what awaited her.
