It was a good time for Anna. She wanted to leap for joy… yes… everything was gradually falling into place. And soon, very soon, she would get her friends the justice they rightly deserved. Anna's thoughts echoed in her head as she scampered through the dark dorm room towards Senior Gloria's bed to drop off yet another letter. She could barely contain her happiness when she remembered Naomi telling her about seeing Gloria crying like a baby. Gloria's life was so truly messed up and she deserved every bit of it! And this wasn't the end! They would only stop when Gloria finally confessed the truth to the school board.
But Anna still had her doubts about the school board. They were the very same people who stifled the truth and let the culprits go scot-free. She had very little faith in them. But that wasn't what was most important now. Getting Gloria to confess was the first and most important thing for now. She shook off the thought as she dropped the letter and made her way towards the exit door.
But she had barely reached the door when it opened wide and a figure stopped in front of her. With a beating heart, she looked up and saw senior Gloria staring at her with a murderous gleam in her eyes.
"You rat! You have so much effrontery, don't you? Walking into the senior's room when no one is around to drop letters on my bed! Do you know I can punish you for this?" Gloria breathed angrily. This stupid brat was the very reason she couldn't have a moment of peace in this school. She had suddenly gone from the hot, popular Gloria to the slut and scum of the class. All thanks to this silly brat in front of her.
Anna could see senior Gloria was very angry, but she wasn't afraid of her. She was ready to fight back if she as much as lifted a tiny finger at her. She was still staring challengingly at senior Gloria, thinking of how best to retaliate when Senior Gloria suddenly pinned her on the wall. With flailing hands, she tried to free herself, but her strength was no match to that of Senior Gloria.
"Who do you think you are? A common youngie? I can see you have grown too much wings because of Naomi, right? You seem to have forgotten I have dealt with you before and can do it again!" Gloria threatened the weak junior in front of her.
"Leave me alone!" Anna howled in a weak voice.
"Leave that girl alone now!" someone barked from behind.
Gloria turned and saw Naomi standing like the angel of vengeance, and she let Anna go. Anna instantly ran towards Naomi, still breathing harshly.
"I see you haven't learned your lessons, Gloria. Everything we have done to you has taught you nothing. You are still evil, just like your mother!" Naomi challenged Gloria, stepping in between her and Anna.
"Don't talk about my mum like that! Never you do that again!"
"Or what, Gloria?" Naomi stared into Gloria's eyes. Gloria raised her shaky fist then, feeling the strong desire to strike Naomi.
"I dare you to try! You just had your second strike! Remember what the matron told you? Yes, I know about that. You have one last strike and you will be taken to the Deaconess. Imagine what your mum would do if she found all the nasty things you have been doing. Slut!"
Gloria raised her hands again to strike Naomi, but Naomi's threats stopped her.
"I dare you! I dare you!" Naomi emphasized as she watched Gloria's face battle the waging emotions inside her.
"We are just getting started, trust me. If you don't confess and expose your accomplices, you will not know any peace. And I mean every word. You will know the pain I felt when my poor brother was beaten to stupor!" Naomi blurted out in pain. Anna patted her slightly from behind and she inhaled and exhaled to calm her rushing emotions.
Gloria stood there, frozen as the realization hit her. Naomi was the sister of the poor junior Pablo, and his gang had beaten up. And she was working with Anna, Stanley's friend. Now it all made sense to her. And now she knew how important her confession meant to the duo. And she knew just what to do. She watched them for a while before breaking down in fake tears.
"I am sorry; I am sorry… please, it was not my intention for things to get that far. I don't know what to do for you to forgive me. It was wicked of me and I am truly sorry. But I am not the only one who has a hand in what happened to your brother. Why are you punishing only me?"
"We are using you to get to the others. Confess! Just confess!" Anna spat from behind Naomi's back, not at all moved by Senior Gloria's fake tears.
"I will, but you girls have to understand…"
"We can't continue talking… do as we said" Naomi cut her short, as the school bell rang, signaling the end of break time.
"Wait…" Gloria clutched her arm as she was about to leave. "Can we talk later about this, please? I want to understand me and tell me exactly what to do. I am afraid of Pablo and his gang, too. Please, Naomi." Gloria pleaded in a sincere voice.
Naomi nodded in agreement before walking off.
"What was she saying to you" Anna asked.
"To meet her later"
"For what reason? She should confess!" Anna retorted.
"Don't worry, Anna… I know what I am doing. I have a recording device with me and I will record everything she says. If she won't confess, we will use it against her and the school when my parents finally open the case. Just don't be scared." Naomi assured Anna.
"I don't trust her. Just be careful! If you need me to go with you, just let me know." Anna said, her eyebrows squeezed in a frown. Something told her Gloria was up to no good.
"Don't worry your little head. I am ready for all of them" Naomi patted Anna gently before they both walked off to their different classes. Anna's little face relaxed, but her heart was still in turmoil. Things have to work out for us, she prayed silently.

"What do you want?" Clinton questioned Gloria, without concealing his irritation, which was boldly written on his face and his harsh voice. They both carried his disgust for Gloria. He didn't want to be seen talking to the slut of the class, the pig, and the scum of the class. A Benard and the most liked boy like him was to be seen only with brilliant, beautiful, and hot girls. Not a colossal disgrace like Gloria.
"Do you hate me that much now?" Gloria asked in a voice she could barely recognize as hers. Who could have ever thought that one day she would be this infamous? A whole Deaconess's daughter. One person every respected and wanted to be friends with. But now, she was known as the scum of the class. Everyone made fun of her and called her names. And she couldn't blame Clinton for wanting nothing to do with her, she couldn't… she whimpered, stifling her tears.
"I asked what you wanted. Don't waste my time," Clinton said quickly as he looked around the back of the cafeteria to make sure no one saw him standing with Gloria.
"Fine, let me go straight to the point. There's a big problem. Someone wants me to expose you guys."
"Expose which guys? And for what? What are you talking about?"
"For what you did to that poor boy and that innocent girl!" Gloria barked at him.
"Shut up, Gloria. Let no one hear you say that. We did nothing!" Clinton snapped at her, feeling the urge to slap her plump face.
"Well, you did, and you know it. Pretending you did nothing doesn't erase your evil deeds. The boy's sister is here for revenge and Anna, his friend, is helping her. Yes, everything that has been happening to me is their doing. And soon, they would come for you and Pablo unless you do something. Besides, they want me to confess to the school board about what you guys did." Gloria said.
"Pablo won't like any of this. He won't! This is bad for all of us. If they expose us, that means the school might resurrect the case again and expel us. I don't know if my dad can stop them this time." Clinton mumbled to himself as he paced around.
"Or even worse… you might get arrested. They could re-open the case if they have strong evidence against you and Pablo, and the school won't hesitate to throw you both under the bus." Gloria said, and Clinton paused instantly as it all dawned on him, they were in deep shit.
"We need to do something about those girls." Clinton declared, with tighten lips and squinted eyes.
"Something like what?" Gloria asked.
"Don't worry, I and Pablo will take care of them. Just bring them to us!"
"But is that the right thing to do? Those girls can't…"
"Shhh" Clinton cut her short. "Deliver them to us and we will do the rest." Clinton said dismissively before walking out on Gloria.
"But Clinton…" Gloria called out to him. "Listen to me first …"
"Just do your part!" Clinton turned and screamed at her before disappearing into a corner. Gloria stood there, wondering if she had done the right thing by telling Clinton about Naomi and Anna. Oh, no! she exclaimed. Maybe she should have gone to the school board instead! She whimpered, squatting on the floor to think about her life. Everything was going so wrong. Everything! And she had taken the wrong move yet again!
But what was she supposed to do? All she could do now was to play her part, and that was delivering Naomi to Pablo and his gang. And who knows, that might actually put the silly girls in their place. Pablo and his gang knew just had to break a person. This would work. Yes, it will! Gloria assured herself, a weak smile spreading on her sad face.
