Days of competition

In the human realm, just before the western seas, there stood a holy mountain. The mountain was known as Si Fengshan. No one knew how the mountain came to be but what people knew was that its lands were holy and the light fog that danced around it was the vital energy of the emperor of heaven.

Amongst the cultivation lands, there was no place holier than this. Although the four peaks looked smaller when looked at from far, the land where the peaks stood was large, almost the size of a city. There were gentry families guarding the four peaks.

The first peak was the land of the Zhao Family and was headed by Zhao Wei. He was described as a man of incredible strength. His body was huge and his fists large. Under him, the disciples the Zhao Family took in were incredibly strong and powerful, it was known not to offend any of them because, with one push, they would send you flying away.

Their manor was known as the PROSPERITY MANOR and these words were engraved above the gates that led into the Zhou residence. Zhou Wei had two children, Zhou Feiling and Zhou Qingyang who were considered pure disciples. Their disciples wore purple uniforms.

The second peak was led by the Gao Family. They were known for their scholarly excellence and every corner of the land was filled with old men in all shapes and sizes. As they walked, their white goatees flew up in the air and their leader was known as Gao Ming.

Their manor was known as the RADIANCE MANOR. The Gao peak was the hardest to get inside because it was pretty hidden but amongst the four peaks, it was the peak where the sun's rays hit first. Their disciples wore light green uniforms.

The third peak was guarded by the Lin Family and their master was Lin Wen. It was said that Lin Wen's swordsmanship was the best of the best. Whenever he performed a sword dance, even the birds in the air stopped to watch in awe.

The women who came from Lin peak were considered incredible beauties and they were extremely talented in music.

The Lin manor was known as WANDERING WINDS and their disciples wore dark blue uniforms.

Ling Wen had a son, Lin Chang Ge. Yi Chang remembered that back then, Lin Chang Ge was his best friend.

The fourth peak was Yi Peak. It was extremely hidden but still accessible, not at all like Cheng peak. Their leader was Yi Ling and the young master was Yi Chang. When Yi Chang was born, Lin Chang Ge was still little but he was at that time in her mother's peach garden.

Yi Chang was told back then that the Chang in his name was the same as the one in Lin Chang Ge's name.

The Yi manor was known as the VALIANCE MANOR and their disciples wore white robes although the young master wore the dark blue from the Lin Family.

In those days when the world was still peaceful, Si Fengshan hosted an annual tournament where all the four families competed.

The competition was hosted on a big martial arts platform built by the ancestors of the four families. The platform consisted of a large stage and stands to host up to tens of thousands of people. In the stands, there were four high chairs where the four leaders sat together with their wives to enjoy the tournament.

During those days of competition, each family would bring forth ten of their best disciples to compete in the six arts and swordsmanship. Those days were considered the best in the cultivation world because many of the sects from far and beyond would come and the number of people who would fill the streets was uncountable.

Yi Chang made way in the crowd and noticed just the person he was looking for, Lin Chang Ge. The latter loved dark robes. Although the blue on his clothes looked like the ones from the sect, his were much darker than his robes were almost black.

Yi Chang carried two bags full of melon seeds as he made his way over there. The crowds were large and loud, many of them were women. Their shrieks were loud enough to open the gates of the nine heavens while on their bodies, they had on garbs tight enough to reveal their tight bosoms, slim waists, and meaty behinds, it was truly a sight to behold.

Yi Chang felt his eyes grow wider and wider. Lin Chang Ge, who was sitting on the other side, suddenly grew pensive as he watched Yi Chang take the seat beside him.

"What is that dirty mind of yours thinking of now?" He could not help but ask. Yi Chang threw him a glare as he sat down. Lin Chang Ge returned it. His face was extremely handsome and he had an air of arrogance around him. His dark blue robes were especially piercing to the eyes because they were almost a glowing black.

He watched Yi Chang with bright eyes which were equally piercing just like his robes. Yi Chang was also wearing the uniform from his sect. he could not help but raise his eyebrows, "Why do you not wear your sect's uniform? Yi Chang, tell me right now which sect you belong to?"

He was asking earnestly with feigned anger. He knew Yi Chang like the back of his hand which meant that he knew the reason why he wore the Wandering Winds robes instead of his own. He looked back and noticed that Yi Chang was looking unblinkingly at something which meant he had not heard all his questions from before.

Lin Chang Ge almost slapped him off the stands.

He swallowed his anger and followed his gaze. On the martial arts stage used for the competition stood a woman. Her purple robes were brilliant and her right hand held a sword. Her face was almost glowing. The beautiful round eyes almost sparkled and her thin, luscious lips turned up into a sinister smile. A face like that was hard to come by. That beauty was the second child of Zhao Wei, Zhao Qingyang.

Her beauty was known far and wide. At seventeen, she was like a flower blooming in spring. Her features made many adore her but she was from the Zhao Family after all. Her strength was incredible. Her thin, dainty hands could send anyone flying meters away even without her moving her body, this was the reason men shunned away from her.

Just like right now, the unlucky disciple from the Lin family was sent flying from the platform. Many cheers erupted but Lin Chang Ge's eyes constricted dangerously as he watched the disciple cough up blood on the floor.

The officiator's voice rang loud and clear amidst the raging crowd, "Zhao family one point, Lin family Zero."

Laughter echoed throughout the stands. Yi Chang turned around. His hands were full of melon seeds. He threw them high up in the air and every time they landed back perfectly inside his mouth. He taunted Lin Chang Ge, "Chang Ge look, your disciple was sent flying off the stage by a woman haha,"

He was in an excellent mood. Lin Chang Ge's eyes constricted dangerously even more towards him, he threw two words out of his mouth with much difficulty, "Shut up!"

Yi Chang laughed happily as he munched on his melon seeds. He looked to the stand and saw the beaten disciple being carried out off the stage. Zhao Qingyang was standing back and on her face was a tinge of worry. She looked towards the stands and noticed the gazes of the people. It seemed as if she saw something unpleasant because she suddenly turned around and stormed off.

Yi Chang looked in the direction she stormed off to and looked back. He had noticed what made the beauty angry. He remembered one time when having some casual conversation with Chang Ge, the other had said that Zhao Qingyang minded greatly that men avoided her. Growing up, no one wanted to play with her. The matter was greatly elevated by the fact that even her own fellow disciples avoided her like the plague.

She was the only female disciple in her sect and the only person who was nice to her was her older brother, Zhao Feiling.

Yi Chang was lost in thought. Avoiding a person just because she was stronger than you was a tad bit immature. He looked towards where the other Zhao disciples were standing and then sneered. Lin Chang Ge turned around and saw Yi Chang storm off. He whispered, "Hey, where are you going?"

Yi Chang threw an 'I will be back' and in a few steps, he was out of sight. Lin Chang Ge cursed under his breath and then continued watching the competition.

Yi Chang took a stroll behind the stands and as expected, Zhao Qingyang was standing behind one of the large pillars. Her hands were held tightly into fists as she paced around. She did not cry either because she felt tears were inferior or she minded someone walking in on her crying.

Yi Chang wanted to go over and comfort the beauty but as he took one step forward, the officiator's voice rang one more time,

"Next match: Yi Chang of the Yi family and Zhao Zili of the Zhao family"
