The Saintess Is A Villainess

Reading Purifying Love made Rachelle D'magiba feel very insulted. The ending that the author had written didn't go well with her expectations. Rather, it was one of the shittiest novels that she ever had read. But just because of one mistake, she found herself inside the novel that she had read. She had thought that she had already died but it seems that she went inside the novel! What's even worse is that she reincarnated as the villain of the story! None other than Felicia Vivianne Del Montague who was burned alive. Will she be able to escape and save herself from dying once again? Or will she find truths to uncover from the novel and avoid her death flag? [NOTE: This is an original work made by the author herself. SPREADING LIES

As the session continued, Rachelle could only focus her eyes on the statue of the Goddess, avoiding the eyes that stared at her. It's irking her but she has to act as if she doesn't care about it or she's unaware of their stares.

Specially Constantine who stared at her with such eyes that just screamed how he was craving to talk to her. Meanwhile, she hadn't seen Liam anywhere and she didn't bother at all.

Meanwhile, Helena was sitting next to the Pope who was currently preaching about good and bad, reciting the good deeds that the Goddess blessed them.

Then Felicia's eyes landed on the man standing next to Helena, flaunting his armour while looking ever so proud, flexing the sword that he had in his hips. This son of a bitch looks so damn proud about faking honours.

She snorts, it's funny how they're trying to make this play into believing that the man is born to serve the Saintess, manipulating the crowds that it was a blessing for a knight to pull the sword and already call him a Hero.

He didn't even have worthy achievements to call him a hero, might as well claim that he is already a Hero just because of a mighty sword. She wanted to laugh at them at the same time she wanted to pull the sword and make a ruckus.

Suddenly, the Pope called the so-called knight and made him kneel in front of him with his sword in his hand. He bows his head in front of the Holy Eminence, awaiting his blessing.

The Pope then grabbed the holy water from the tray and began pouring it on the man's head while uttering some prayers and bathing the knight in holy water.

"He's cleansing the knight," Alexander whispered silently while trying not to remove his eyes from the Pope praying earnestly for the knight. Meanwhile, Felicia didn't respond as he was fixated on the way the Pope had put on a show in which she concluded that it was hard to unmask him.

Especially through these powers of his, he's able to gather worshippers from nobles to commoners.

"I bless this man to become the Hero who will protect us from any calamities. I bless this man to continue to guide the path for our beloved Saintess, and for this man to devote himself to the Saintess." The Pope announced as he put the Holy water back in the tray and extended his hand, placing it on the man's head.

"I bless this creature to guide the Saintess in the right way, for him to protect the Saintess at all cost, to dedicate his life for the goodness of our beloved Saintess." He added, smiling softly at the man who beamed with pride.

The so-called Hero had wrapped himself in the web of a poisonous spider, unable to escape from its fangs. Rachelle was flabbergasted while maintaining to act straight. Are the people in here stupid?

The Knight should be dedicating his life to his faith in the Goddess and the Kingdom. Yet here he is, swearing to dedicate his life to the Saintess only, which is very abnormal.

"How preposterous," Rachelle muttered to herself as she smiled over the scene right in front of her. It was interesting, yes, but this just concludes that this man is officially one of her enemies that she needs to look out for.

Especially since everyone is now regarding him as a Hero who will help them stray far from evil.

"You shall lead the Saintess in a life where there is no evil. Evil is lurking everywhere, trying to covet what the Saintess owns. Therefore please, protect her That is what the Goddess tasks you." The Pope added, patting the man's back as he helped the man stand up.

The moment he started to discuss evilness, the Pope's eyes then looked at Rachelle as if he meant she was the evil lurking around and coveting the things that Helena owns.

She felt insulted even though the Pope's eyes only remained for seconds before turning back in the crowd to announce the birth of another holy being, claiming that he'd protect everyone.

This is a fucking lie considering that he just tasked him to only protect the Saintess, disguising it as the words from the Goddess herself. Proclamation her ass, that's literal bullshit.

The mass didn't take long for it to finally reach the ending point, where the Pope left along with his priests and bishops, leaving the nobles associated with each other.

Meanwhile, her family went to Helena, congratulating her for acquiring a loyal knight. She basically left before they could even drag her to face Helena and that Knight. Or else she would faze and tremble.

She still hasn't felt like she's comfortable around that guy. Even though that guy will probably be living in their house and be with Helena everywhere, no matter where she will go.

She even bet that she would also task him in doing her dirty work. She just needs to be prepared and start being trained tomorrow. Her situation is getting difficult after all.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet the first young Lady. I am the second daughter of Count Martini, Louisiana Martini." One of the noblewomen started to introduce herself in front of Rachelle who just wanted to escape her family.

"I am the only child of Margrave Dubois, Clarissa Dubois." Said the girl with short hair, smiling at her while she bowed in an informal manner, seems like she did not recognise Rachelle.

"I am the daughter of Viscountess Orlean, Vanessa Orlean." The woman next to them introduced herself, she was a gingerhead, just like her but Rachelle's hair was more vibrant than hers.

"It's a pleasure to meet every one of you," Rachelle replied, not even bowing taking the three frown at her behaviour. Yet Rachelle just let out a smile, informing them that whatever their plan is, it won't happen.

She just wishes for a peaceful scene but it seems that she's in a situation greatly out favouring her. Goddess, why is she doing this to her poor soul?

"Forgive us for intrusion but I always wondered why the First Lady is so brave to show up here in the church. After what you did to the Saintess." The woman named Louisiana asked, hiding a smirk beneath her fan.

The other women snickered, clearly mocking them as they started to diss her using their eyes, looking at her from head to toe. Oh dear, seems like they wanted to fight.

"What do you mean? Please elaborate as I do not understand what you are referring to." Rachelle answered with a calm attitude. She's about to burst in frustration yet she calms herself before she can even pull out her sword and slash it at them.

"You're acting like you don't even know, young Lady. How bad of a liar are you? It is clear that what the Saintess said about you bullying and stealing stuff from her is true." Louisiana said, making a snide remark in her character.

"Are you not even content that you are already a Princess but you still choose to bully the poor Saintess? You surely are evil for a sister, your Ladyship." Vanessa smirked and continued to sully her image.

"Aren't you quite the snake, your Ladyship? Discriminating the lady just because she just wanted to have a family? You even caused her and the Duchess to get separated. You're so jealous." Clarissa commented.

They began to throw insults at her, not caring if everyone started to look at them. In fact, they find it so satisfying to mock the Lady in front of them. She wasn't even trying to defend herself, which makes it more sensible since she's not denying their claims.

They continued to spit nonsense, garnering a lot of eyes while they snickered. They think she was cornered, getting exposed right in front of them.

But in Rachelle's mind, all she was thinking about was when was Helena able to spread lies about her and when they shut their mouths. It's getting to her nerves. She might not be able to stop herself from slapping them.

"Why are you so quiet, your Ladyship? Are you admitting your crimes this easy? No wonder you're the reason why you're being hated by your whole family." Louisiana mocked her once again, letting out a haughty chuckle while the other two laughed.

'Oh Goddess, please let me hold on to my patience because if I can't then their heads will be on the floor, severed from their bodies. Help me control my anger.' Rachelle prayed silently as she sighed, shaking her head.

"And from whom did you hear those matters? Surely not from my purest sister?" Rachelle asked, breaking her silence while looking straight into Louisiana's eyes, cold and serious.

Her aura suddenly changed and the three of them took a step back, suddenly feeling scared in front of her. "T-The Saintess told us how disgusting you are! And in fact, what the Saintess said is true! You are indeed disgusting!" Louisiana answered her, glaring at her for suddenly talking back.

Rachelle let out a chuckle, shaking her head a little. Since Helena can't overpower her in their house, then she resorts to spreading false lies towards her friends to point her as a cruel sister.

"One must not make a hasty decision in listening to the other side. That just shows how much of a stupid woman you all are. Have you perhaps skipped to attend Philosophy as one of your subjects? Because if you did, then that would explain how everyone here is dumb." She replied, letting out a chuckle while taking a step.

"I personally would rather keep my mouth shut and not pry on things that are not my problems. That just shows how unintelligent I am if I keep on prying with other people's business. Don't you think so, Lady Louisiana?" Rachelle asked, cocking her eyebrow while she smirked at her.

All of them blushed, embarrassed as Rachelle mocked them back. To think they thought that she would remain silent and not fight back. She's not a damsel in distress, unlike Helena.

"A-are you accusing the Saintess of spewing nonsense?!" Clarissa yelled, couldn't control her anger towards Rachelle who shrugged her shoulders, acting nonchalant over this drama.

"Who else would it be? It's not like you got it from other sources. Unless you planted spies in our household then that would be reasonable." Rachelle answered, baring her pearly white teeth, smiling widely.

"Don't worry, I am not mad at everyone. I'm not even mad at my sister for painting me as the Villain here. I shall have the statement of the Duke and involve him in this manner. Who knows what will happen, right?" She taunted them, turning her back.

The three of them fell into silence, threatened by what she just said. Their faces went pale as Rachelle started to walk away from them, leaving them speechless.

"Oh... And before I go," Rachelle stopped taking a step. She then turned her head, just enough to look at them with a soft smile. "I hope that your family doesn't have any political or business ties with the Duke. Because if your family has, do send my regards to them because I will end every career you have." She added, waving her hand and started to walk forward with a proud smile on her face.

This is why you don't mess with a fierce tigress, she'll devour every bit of your body until you are left with nothing. Just like what happened to those girls.

It was fun taunting them, although she was not sure if she would really work with her threat. It felt like it was the right thing to do, to use the influence of the Duke for a bit.

Suddenly, an arm caught her hand as she was about to walk out, pulling her closer which made her stop from her track and had to face the man that she despised to see. Really? After those girls, she has to deal with this man?

"What did you do to them?" Constantine asked, gripping her arm. Shit, can't she just have a peaceful day?!

I'm sorry I wasn't able to upload for two days. I wasn't in the mood to take an update as I was experiencing a sudden wave of feeling down. I don't want to force myself to write since it'll be like making a trash chapter. So I waited until my mind was stable. And here I am! I will update as soon as possible from now on if my mind continues to stay stable! Thank you so much, everyone!
