The Tournament

Rin had begun his training from Rose four days ago. He had already reached the final stages in his practice. Rin just kept on surprising Rose over and over again. On the second day of his training, after she had disbanded Rin, she went into her room and hopped unto her bed. A while later, she rose up feeling dizzy. She stretched herself and went out to grab a drink from the machine. Before left back to her room, she saw still coming from the hall which she and Rin were having their training.

"Rin must have forget to turn the lights off. She walked over to the hall where she saw Rin still practicing his archery. Instead of interrupting him, she decided to watch him for a moment. Rin had been firing arrows at the red marker and had been missing over and over. his shots were far off from the target. But then later, she realized that he was he was getting better at it. Soon Rin could now hit the red marker from a very far distance. As he breathed out, she how steady, still and concentrated his body was. His shots were now fired with a hundred percent precision. She turned and went back to bed leaving Rin to continue his practice.

"You should sign up for the tournament. I'm one hundred percent sure you'll win." Said Rose

"I'm not that interested but I'll think about it" He replied. Rin continued to practice his archery and holy angel back in his room. He begun to increase in strength and agility. He also begun to hunt sacred beasts to the point where he advanced into an aristocrat knight within two weeks and had already achieved sixty-one points. He also earned a name for himself from the hunter association. Before long everyone begun to talk about the man who only hunted sacred beasts. Suddenly Rin earned the name Sacred knight from the public. In every part of the city, the name Sacred Knight was always heard. Even online, there were many blogs, comments and articles written about the sacred knight. On one night, Rin decided read a few comments online about the sacred knight. As he went through them, he begun to laugh his lungs out. A lot of people wrote comments such as

"I'm love with sacred knight.

Sacred knight my hero, you're so handsome

I want to bear you children sacred knight. Coincidentally, the tournament of power had also just arrived. Everyone in the city talked about it. It was also an opportunity for students to receive awards from the royal family themselves. The martial ring meant to host the tournament was indeed huge. It was the most magnificent building in raven hill. It looked like the Colosseum in Rome. Today was the beginning of the tournament. Rin run to the register to include himself in the tournament before it was too late.

"Number 654" Rin realized that he was the 654th person to enter the tournament.The first match begun and happened to be very entertaining to watch. Before long, Rin's match had arrived. The metal door opened revealing a long tunnel which ended in the martial ring. Rin covered himself in his armor and walked into the ring. The alert was given and the match begun.

Rin's opponent pulled out his sword and jumped towards him. Rin moved slightly and dodged the sword. Realizing his attack had missed, he jumped back to launch another attack before Rin could put him down. The man did not have time to react before he was knocked unconscious out of the ring. Rin moved like the wind flashing his fist into his stomach. The fans were in shock. Right after he fell to the ground after being pinned to the wall, Rin walked out of the ring immediately not wanting to draw any attention to himself. That was the first day of the tournament.

Early the next morning, Rin's sleep was interrupted by the new broadcast and most of all, the screams from outside. When he rushed outside, there was chaos all around. One couldn't tell what was going on at the moment. He began searching round for the nearest person so he could know what the hell was happening. He continued searching but could not find anyone who was willing to speak. Finally, he heard noise from far ahead.

"It was a beast" said Rin to himself. After the cause of the commotion was confirmed, he rushed back into his room and grabbed his black crow, then he sped immediately to the scene. When he arrived, he was astonished to see what standing before him. It was monster, but this one was different. This was humongous, had for arms and six eyes. Moreover, it's body was distorted in every way. It just walked around causing mayhem, like in movies.

Rin just stood still and watched. It was the first time he had seen something so huge. This could have been what his professor Lin Tylang meant when he advised him not to rely on his shield all the time. Many knights arrived and begun launching a series of attacks at the monster but it did no good. That was because it had the ability to heal itself from whatever damaged they caused it. Suddenly something took Rin's mind away. The roar of the monster had caused a wrecking on building it stood nearby. A little girl was spared from falling to her death by a metal which had caught her jacket.

The worst part of it was that there were more children hiding in a room on that same building. Before long the roaring monster stretched out it's hand to grab the poor girl who was now drowned in tears and screams. All the knights watched in horror but did not dare go to her rescue because it would be suicide. They rather preferred to break their knight's code in order to survive than to attempt suicide.

Before anything could happen, Rin covered himself in his black armor and dashed his way up to the monster slicing it's arm half way. It gave out a loud scream of pain and retreated for a moment. Rin grabbed the little girl and stood up on the roof of the building.

Everyone who was watching gave out a loud sigh. Seconds later, they became excited, when they realized that it was their hero sacred knight. A loud roar of jubilation came from below Rin.

Staring at the monster, He took out the black crow and one orichalum arrow. As the monster begun running towards Rin, he released the arrow at the beast in sync with a punch from the monster. The arrow pierced its eye and sent it down to the ground while Rin was sent flying through buildings. Rin coughed out blood then rose back to his feet and rushed back to the children.

Rin realized that he was saved thanks to his shield. The hit had really got him. If it weren't also for his practice in holy angel, he would have been long dead by now.

Before the monster could fully recover, he took out another orichalum arrow and directed it at the head of the monster. Right before Rin released it. A man who looked like someone in his fifty's appeared at his side and stopped Rin from releasing the arrow.

"Well done, Kid. You can put down your arrow now. You'll only be causing it more pain." He spoke.

Rin was confused and didn't know what he meant.

"You poor thing. You can go to rest now" he said

The man jumped high above the monster and sliced the unknown monster in half

"It's safe now, you can all go to bed," said the man. When Rin opened his eyes, there was mist all around so he couldn't see a thing. By the time the mist had cleared off, he was nowhere to be found. A huge crater was left at where the monster stood. Soon other Knight arrived up, and helped Rin bring the kids down.

Rin wondered who the mysterious man was and the kind of strength he exhibited.
