Things Are Changing

Lex watched as the town fought back. He spotted a group of people fighting in a last stand until they were torn apart.

Thanks to his vampire vision, he witnessed all this. That's when he heard noises behind him and raised his Gearshot as he turned around.

He fired a few shots that slammed into a wraith, swooping down on him. But the monster crashed to the ground and slid off the side of the mountain.

That's when Lex shot at the side of the mountain to cause another landslide below him that wiped out hundreds of Hivefiends.

After doing that, he looked around and found a small cave. Lex took out Midnight, who was shivering and petted her.

Eager to soothe her, he began to pamper the little cat, eliciting joy as she started purring and rubbing up against him.

Upon hearing this, Lex smiled and settled in the small cave atop the mountain as rain began to fall.
