Rosella was left alone in the room. She didn't know if this chioice she made was the right thing to do. Seeing that things are going downhill, she didn't have any options left but to hold whoever hand's extended. It really didn't matter if she will get retribution in the end as long as she can figure out the things that happened from way back then.
There are so many questions, coincidence, and mysteries surrounding her parents death and even with her siblings death.
This realization really came late and she knew that finding the master mind behind the scenes, is really hard now that so many years had passed and now the power is in Stephanie's hand.
She couldn't help but sigh.
When Lucas went out, he left a brown envelop on her bed. She picked it up and unfolded it.
Some papers were yellow and some are new. She picked up a picture that caught her attention.
When she looked at it, she knew some of the faces, the two were her parents, her youngest imperial uncle and his wife. The other two person, she had no idea who they were.
She flipped the picture and found that it was taken 30 years ago.
"A simple birthday celebration of my brother. 12/02" the cursive writing stated. It was written by her father, she recognized his hand writing.
She looked at the picture again and she noticed that it was taken from the palace's garden. It was a very nice place even though it was during winter.
Her mom was holding her stomach and his father looped his arms around her mother's shoulder. They were smiling happily.
Her mom was quite young and even her father. He was a dashing young prince. She thought that maybe, at that time, her mom was already pregnant with Joseph.
She once looked at the other people in the photo and she noticed that one of the women was actually looking at her father with so much affection. It caught her off-guard.
Who was she?
She didn't know for now. Maybe, she will find the answer on the rest of Joseph's keepsakes.
She set aside the picture and picked up the diary that was left by Joseph.
It has a black leather cover and even the fountain pain was still intact along with it.
She traced the insignia of Blue Empire before she opened the diary.
Joseph Blue I
The diary seemed to be the ordinary days of Joseph. He wrote what he did on that particular day, what he ate, what he wore and even the most mundane things a typical young boy could have.
His writing was full of vigor of a young man. She felt that Joseph was happy.
Then she continued to read and she read about his feelings of his coronation as a crown prince.
"I really don't know what to feel. My parents had given me enough space to grow as an ordinary boy. I went to school, had friends, went out and sometimes I skipped school with Lucas. We played console games in his rented apartment. Now, that father appointed me as the crown prince, I don't know if I should be happy or sad. I am just really confused as this moment. Being a crown prince is not easy. I wished I was a normal boy with a normal parents back then but I realized how selfish I was. Maybe,I need to think more of this new title and do my best as a crown prince of this kingdom. I have to grow up from here on though, I am quite scared and apprehensive at the same time. I am scared that I may not be able to do my job well and bs a burden to my parents in the end. Rosella and Violet are getting bigger, they are just so beautiful and I am thankful for my parents that they gave me two beautiful sisters to protect. If I have one role, I will chose to be the protector of these two angels..."
This was written the day before he wad murdered on the sea by the pirates. He lost his life and father lost his only son from then on. He was 23 years old when he was conferred as a crown prince and shortly after, he died.
Violet and her was sent away for a short time after Joseph's mourning.
