Prologue

I am the world tree, one of the last few remaining of my species.

I used to provide life energy for this whole continent.

Half a millennium I have been nurturing countless different species and sub-species.

I used to be naive in my younger days I let a evil hearted individual close to me who schemed and plotted on me.

We all make mistakes my wise teacher once told me but the key is to learn from them.

I made sure I never made the same mistake again, I spent half of my life energy fortifying the forest my roots began, the land where I provide all my life energy. It would take at least 20 Supreme beings working together to be able to charge through the different regions of my forest where i am located in the centre.

To my knowledge their is not 20 supreme beings in the word.

All inhabitants of my forest regarded me as their ruler.

I divided the forest up into regions and told my inhabitants that only the strongest were allowed to stay in the inner regions.

This was all done to protect me as now no one I did not provide permission to was not allowed anywhere near me and this is how I have lived the last four hundred years.

There is over a 100 different species in the forest who would kill on-sight of any intruder making it near impossible to even breath the same air as I.

Wait, Wait, WHAT IS THAT.

Impossible.

How?!

I'm struggling to believe my senses but their is a small lifeform emitting very small mana.

A small round unidentifiable individual who seemed to have appeared out of thin air 50m from my main body.

Did that person finally return.

I knew I should've killed him when I had the chance.

As I sent a wave of my mana to inspect what was going on and react appropriately, if this was another threat on my life It would not end the same way as last time.

Inspecting the lifeform provided more questions than answers.

The life form is a baby human who has not yet lived a year.

Is this an illusion, I sent an aggressive energy wave throughout the forest, the ground tremored, Many Inhabitants went to the ground instantly the few that did not were lifted into the air a flown hundreds of meters landing with multiple injuries.

As I checked the forest with my aggressive mana wave as I sent my energy throughout the forest inspecting every living organism I understood this was no illusion and their was no-one aiding this baby

As the baby is sleeping on the ground curled up I thought to myself for breaking the rules of entering this region without permission 'does he deserve to die'?
