“The Moon’s Swordsman”

Uvie swooped down to the City's streets, returning to her human form as everyone landed and looked around. Buildings were on fire, as odd humans without faces ran around.

"We've already calmed down the civilians before, so they shouldn't be destroying everything.. Someone else must be causing this."

Nico looked around, being the only one confused here, staring at the faceless people with his hands rested on both his swords' handles.

"Why don't they have faces..!?!?"

They all chuckled, Bennett answering his question.

"Relax, there's actually a pretty simple explenation.. that I don't know of."

Nico sighed, the group spreading out, scouting the area. Kiara stayed with Nico, who was looking in the sky strangely, as if sensing something.

"Nico, are you okay..?-"

A sudden monster came dashing towards Nico, it's body muscular, as it had no eyes yet sharp teeth. Nico reacted quickly as the monster punched towards him, blocking it with a punch of his own.

"Holy ahit..!? How am I the only one who sensed that coming..!?!"

They all looked over surprised by both the sudden encounter, and Nico's strength. Reece dashed forth as her arm mutilated into a blade of flesh and bone, slicing the monster in half as it fell to the ground.

Kiara spotted Nico's yellow ring, as it glowed very subtly. She grabbed his wrist and held it up.

"Your feeling the vibrations through the air, nobody else can do that so it's clear why you'd be able to sense things faster then others."

She let go of his wrist as he kept his hand up, examining his ring. He thought it could only shoot out shockwaves and make earthquakes, it seems it's a more versatile power then he thought.

"Damn.. your ring's pretty useful. I was pretty turned away when you said it controlled sound."

Reece said, placing her hands on her hips as she marched forth through the streets, everyone being more cautious now, knowing what to expect.

"Higher level beings seem to be roaming the city, though that one wouldn't be able to do this much destruction, this must be the cause of someone REALLY powerful."

Reece noted as she lead the group. Many faceless beings were running from someone, though eventually Reece spotted a person who actually had a face, grabbing them before they run past her.

"The hell's happening here..? What couldmve caused all this shit?"

Reece said as the person struggled around, trying to break free of her impeccable grasp.

"Ah..! There's.. there's this swordsman guy destroying everything… He says he's looking for the doll who killed him.."

Reece let hit go and looked back at Kafka, as did the rest of the group, as she gained a nervous expressions, chuckling awkwardly.

"Nah, it couldn't be.. Morell's killed a bunch of people too. I mean she killed Faust.. Chronos.. Reece, you've known her longer, who else has she killed..?"

Bennett asked as Reece began chatting about everyone Morell's killed. Assuming they were all powerful, Morell seemed to have a huge list of feats to her name.

"Jesus.. This Morell person seems to have a lot fo accomplishments.."

He glanced to Kiara.

"Say, you've been here before.. Have you ever heard of any of them..?"

Kiara shook her head, looking up to the dark sky.

"I was very young when I first came here, I don't have many memories of this place, just a picture in my mind of what it was."

Nico nodded. Reece randomly started running, the group instantly following, used to her unpredictability. Nico and Kiara didn't notice at first, though they quickly caught up with them.

"Why are we running..!?!?!"

Nico shouted out, Reece pointing up as Nico looked to the sky, blue energy seen shooting out from the nearby street, as the sounds of swords clashing could be heard.

They all turned corners to the street, a cloaked man standing with a blade in hand, dead bodies scattered across the ground.

The group stopped in their tracks, awaiting to see what he'd do next. A young man suddenly shouted out, the group, as well as the cloaked figure looking up to the rooftops.

"I am Die Shukketsu, The One Who Roams Death, and your fate ends here.."

A young man stood on the roof, pointing down to the cloaked man with a glare of determination. He carried a sword in hand, twirling it around as the cloaked man got into a stance.

Nico and Kiara were both perplexed by the seemingly heroic man, well the rest of the group seemed almost embarassed of him being there, which confused the two.

Die jumped off the roof, energy invoking through his body as he plummeted towards the cloaked man, his sword raised high, before he.. hit the ground and died immediately. It seems like Die isn't the main character.

Bennett couldn't help but laugh at Die's death, Nico looking at him strangely, as the death of someone would typically be a sad thing, but everyone else thought it was funny as well.

The cloaked man heard their laughs, turning to the group as everyone quickly stopped. The cloaked man seemed a little surprised to their appearance at first, before his grip tightened on his sword, awaiting for someoen to approach.

"Well, Nico, you're new, let's see your sword skills..!"

Reece shoves him forth, as he looked back at them, slowly walking forth before looking back at the cloaked man. Nico unsheathed both his swords, he hasn't ever dual wielded before, but he wasn't expecting too much from the cloaked man.

He quickly dashed forth towards Nico, swinging forth as Nico parried, delivering a flurry of slashes from both blades, sparks flying through the air.

The cloaked man managed to lock Nico's swords in place, before frabbing onto his wrist and swinging him away, quickly following up by running towards Nico and placing the tip of his sword to the ground, before quickly swinging it up.

"You got this Nico..!!!"

The group cheered on, Nico parrying the the attack, though it knocked him off balance. As the cloaked man went for another swing, Nico thought fast and headbutted him before he could, causing him to stumble back.

Nico then went for the counterattack, swinging his black blade forth, as the red gem within it began to glow. The Cloaked Man gasped before leaning back out of the way of the attack.

An absurdly powerful gust of wind was caused by the blade, knocking the man's cloak right off of him, a brown hair revealed.

Reece's eyes suddenly widened, her mouth agape as she was lost for words, her body shaking as she looked to the man, having mixed emotions as she looked down, stuttering.

"A-A-Aku…?"
