"Here's what I think, you should just stick with the plan, decide before I decide for you and you'll be begging for the first choice. So what was it going to be? Kill yourself or let me have my way?" I spoke lowly.

"I'll take the first choice." He said with tears flowing down his cheeks.

°Madelaine's POV°

I woke up to a beeping noise, making me feel more nauseous than I already was. I opened my eyes slowly adjusting to the sunlight.

Am I a vampire now? The sun was burning me.

I looked up at the ceiling and saw spider webs. Fuck no, wherever I am I need to get the hell out of here. I looked to the left and then to the right. Great, I'm in a hospital. Who's gonna pay my bill? Myself, of course.

The door busted open making me fall out of bed. Groaning, I held my head in my hand, why did it hurt so bad?

"I see you're awake Ms. Key, I'm going to check on you could you please get back to bed?" The doctor who looked like he hasn't slept for years asked. I looked at him and scoffed.

"A little help, if you would. Please?" I said sternly. The doctor looked at the nurse, the nurse held my hand up with both her hands, well she was a thin woman. When she pulled me up, let me say -I would much rather drag myself back up to the bed- we both fell. Her on top of me. It's just getting better from here.

The doctor came around and before he could help us both, he fell tripping on the nurse's foot, right on top of us. We're a big fat pretty hamburger now!

I started choking from the hard push on my chest because of their weight. They quickly got up and helped me back to bed. My choking just got a lot worse. I now was starting to think back to my life choices.

The nurse held a bottle of water up for me only to spill it all over my body. She gasped and then ran to get the cloth from somewhere and wiped all over me.

"Just stop! Please!" Get me out of here God damn it.

I slowly went to the bathroom with the nurse's help, thankfully this time we reached the destination safe and sound.

I locked the door behind me quickly before the nurse can get in.

What the fuck just happened. Ugh!

I saw a wardrobe and opened it, a few patient shirts inside. I took one and quickly throw it on.

I was starting to remember the event that happened yesterday. I hope my father is sleeping in prison right now. I can't believe he did that. Son of a-

*Knock knock*

"Miss, do you need any help?" The nurse voiced out.

I opened the door, not wanting to talk, and laid back down to the bed.

"You have been unconscious for 3 days, everything is fine right now, nothing major, just a deep wound on your head, we definitely are going to do further check up on that. We recommend you to stay here for another 3 days." The doctor stated. I shook my head repeatedly.

"No, I want to go back home." I spoke louder.

"I'm sor-"

Before the doctor could say another word, the door busted open. "Honey! Goodness, you're awake!" Mom shrieked.

"Please lower your voice ma'am," The doctor said and I glared at him. How dare he!?

"I'm sorry Bub, I'm really sorry I didn't pick up your call. I should've! I should've just waited for the next meal but I was so famished." Tears pricking the corner of her eyes. I wanted to laugh at that. She was so adorbs.

"Mama it's fine because if I were you I'd do that too." I chuckled trying to ease the awkward situation.

She sighed and hugged me softly from beside me, she then whispered a thousand more sorries before pulling away.

"Can I bring her home?" She asked the doctor and the doctor rolled his eyes. I snickered at the fact that I was just like my mother.

"No ma'am you-" The doctor was cut off by my mother loudly shrieking.

"Yes! Thank you, I'll make sure to take good care of her and in the meantime let me pay the bill. How much?" My mother said anxiously.

"The bill is paid, ma'am. Some guy was here three days ago to pay it as anonymous." The doctor stated. I frowned and looked at my mother who was just as confuse as me. Who would do that?

"Oh goody. Can you please thank the man for me? I would really appreciate it." My mom ushered as she started pulling me out of bed.

Jesus woman. Your daughter almost lost her brain.

"Mama stop! Let the doctor check on me!" I pulled my hand away from the busy woman and let the doctor do his work.

Later, when we reached my mother's other house she started collecting ingredients to make me soup while muttering about how grateful she is that her husband is now gone forever. Maybe she meant in prison but same thing I guess.

"I swear I would have cut his dick off if I meet him in the afterlife, but sadly he doesn't have one." That got me laughing like a horse. "Here sweetie, drink this soup and go get some rest, ok?" My mom said while patting my head.

"Thanks, mama."

After the soup, I laid in bed looking up at the ceiling. "I have to go to work now honey, do you need anything?" Mom called out from downstairs.

"No mama." And with that, I heard the front door closed. I sighed and slowly walked to the bathroom and peed. I stared blankly at the wall in front of me and just zoned out.

My phone started ringing from my room, I got up and finish my business. I walked back out to the room and picked up the phone.

"What?" I asked.

"YOU BETTER HAVE A GOOD REASON FOR BAILING ON ME ON MY CONCERT MADELAINE KEY! I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM YOU IN DAYS!!!" Daisy, my lovely best friend said from the other side.

"Jesus Christ Dai, give me a fucking break."

She then sighed and let me explain what had happened. She kept on gasping as she listened to me.

"That father fucker!" She screamed out. "Where are you now? Lemme see you."

*A Few Minutes Later*

"Where's the bastard!" Daisy yelled from outside the door. This girl, I thought as I shook my head.

"He's in prison now." I deadpanned and let her in.

"Damn it. How's your head?" She grabbed my face and pulled my head down so she could examine it. "Thank the devil." She whispered.

"What the fuck?" I laughed and went over to the couch letting Daisy explore the house. It was her second time here but she was still amazed by the design she said.

"Can I stay? I wanna play with Ms. Kits!" She excitedly clapped her hands while walking around calling for my grey kitten.

"Only if you order ice cream," I said, using one hand to tuck my hair behind my ear.

She rolled her eyes and said "Fine."

We watched movies, ate ice cream, fell asleep, woke back up, playing. It was fun.

"Tell me girl, how many more years until you have a boyfriend?" Daisy looked at me while munching on her now third bowl of cereal.

"Shut up and eat." I rolled my eyes, laying back.

"Only if you promise to go on a double date with me someday." She stated seriously and I Iooked over at her, her face was stone-cold serious.

"You might be old and I might already have a lot of baby kitties," I smirked and her eyebrows furrowed. "Fuck no. Why would I find a boyfriend? Let them find me." I continued and chuckled.

"Sure.." Daisy replied with a bored tone.

*1 month later*

"You might want to greet him, after all, he's your ex and you are at his party." We got invited to Daisy's ex, West's birthday party because they accidentally bumped into each other at the mall and she refused to go alone.

So here I am, standing idly watching as people walked by and chatted with others. I gulped down the expensive wine they had and put the glass down on the table behind me. The house was huge and was fully decorated.

"No, I might just go and hug him." She nodded her head once and took three steps ahead. I thought she was kidding, but then she said, "Sike." I choked on the drink that was still in my mouth. I knew it!

"He's coming your way." I cleared my throat and lowly whispered to her ear, "Don't forget to give him his gift, I'm going to be right around the corner if you need me." I started walking back slowly and suddenly I bumped into a human being. Of course.

I looked behind me and quickly apologizing, "I'm sorry I didn't see where I was going, did I hurt you? I'm sorry." I bowed down and kept apologizing until the person held me up. It was what my mother had taught me when we do something wrong or when we meet someone, at least for us. It's some kind of respect.

But since people here seem to get it all wrong and weird, when I meet people I usually just give them a tiny smile while I shake their hands.

"It's fine." The man before me said. His voice was so sexy. I looked at the hand that was holding my shoulder. Wait! That ring.

I looked up and saw him, the guy who saved me a few years ago.

Diavolo.
